Steve, I've been told that slick honey moves around too much - and if it get's into your 'noid - will kill it..

The lube that's spec for timmy's and cyborgs is dow 33.. the american's rave on about the 55 - 2 different schools of thought on it... there's the lovers of 33 and the lovers of 55.. I couldn't see any 'great' difference on the spec sheet.. the 55 looks like it's used more for bearings - so it might be a little more suitable for task..

Either way, I don't think you could go too wrong.. I'd just stay away from the light stuff... it will probably ruin your noid.. ( so I keep hearing anyhow.. )

DOW 55 from my understanding is that it swells the oring's and can stop small leaks. 33 is what i have used on everything

I've been told that you can blend Slick Honey and 33 together?

stick with the dow 33, dont bother with the slick honey it is not all that good for your 0-rings, over time it will harden them and they will loose the ability to seal.
the 55 is only good for the ram o-rings and shouldnt be used anywhere.

call muzza he has the best deals going on dow!

It's probably overkill ( I know.. ) - but I replace all the main o-rings on my marker before each tournament - and between tourneys ( when it's not really being used.. )
I clean it all out - wipe all the old excess lube off and leave it clean - ready for a fresh grease..

I also inspect all the O-Rings after each days play to see if there's un-necessary wear ( or torn/damaged rings )

I just figure it's easier to change $1 worth of o-rings than to worry about repairing at the field between games..

What sort of time are you talking about with hardening james ? do people leave old grease in their markers that long that it becomes a problem ?

On action's website - they list 3 different lube's

EVOLVE CINNAMON BUTTER GREASE
DYE SLICK LUBE
SMART PARTS SHOCKER GREASE

Other than the cinnamon butter sounding like something you'd eat on toast.. is it better than shocker grease ? ( which is dow 33 ? )

and how does the dye slick lube compare ? is it just generic labeling for Dow 55 and dow 33 ? ( the dye v smart parts )..

the whole teflon thing in the cinnamon sounds good.. but is there really that much difference ?

stick with the dow 33 in my opinion it is the best at the moment, it works really well at both ends of the temperature scale.

Steve, go to a bike shop ( pushbikes ) - you'll find it there..

my medium sized bottle cost me $11-

you'll only need a couple of drops.. it's great stuff.. ( and lasts for ages )

It's not really an oil, more a solid lube with teflon suspended in an alcohol base - the alcohol evaporates off when it's run into the crevices and leaves the lube... and it smells good too !

I have tried 5 different bike shops and none of them stock this product. Now I am looking for alternate vendors.
