So just a quick question about bringing HPA bottles in from out of the country, as I've been asked by a couple of Canadian friends if they can bring their stuff over when they move.

I know to use them here they have to be Australian Approved, and therefore I'm guessing any made to be sold in the US wont have the stickers etc. But if the exact same model is sold in Aus and therefore Australian Approved, would one exactly the same brought in from out of the country be Australian Approved? Or is each bottle individually tested before being sold?

From everything I've seen it's almost as if the only difference between them is ones sold in Aus have a sticker, is that pretty much the case?

From what I've read and been told, you need them to be tested here, and therefore stamped. You'd be right in saying there's no difference though (that I'm truly aware of).

Yeah that's what I thought. If that's the case, can they bring the bottles anywhere to get tested/stamped?

In Perth, take them to Australian Safety Engineers is Canningvale.

as long as they can put a workcover code on it, its ok
cause if the tank, eg blows up you will be liable if they are not approved by workcover

Be carefull bringing bottles in it's a massive grey area with the work cover stamp . Most places won't touch them if they don't already have a work cover stamp.

Nope, I'll find out when I need to get one of my tanks tested next year :P
