I have a HALO TSA at the moment, love the larger capacity - but have found its not as sensitive with its sound activation as I would like.. with the sensitivity set a bit lower it winds and winds and winds.. seems to bounce balls alot...
Are the VL's a much better hopper ? I have seen Rob's ( cheesed timmy ) and was pretty impressed on the speed..
Anyone got any feedback on these hoppers ?

i really do prefer the TSA's over the revo....the revos are good but i find the TSA's are just better for some reason.
we got a LCD back man for sale and all u gotta do is just play around with the settings.

TSA's are good hoppers. But if Euk isn't happy with it the Reloader would eb the way to go or a X board Revy. The revvies have the advantage that they aren't the same size as the titanic unlike the TSA:p

Yeah, its a big mother - I use it for my normal position ( backman ) and it rocks.. but I sold it on to sean who plays second backman with me.. I have a spare VL2000 - dont know if it has an X board in it - have opened it all up, but could not tell.. how do I identify this ?
Because I have it as a spare, I decided to sell the TSA and look for something else, originally I was only interested in the larger capacity and potential feeding speed.. which I was having trouble with.. wasnt forcing balls down the chute.. blowback markers suck for that..
The TSA is a huge mofo - looks like the sub from " The hunt for red october " sitting on my marker..
I dont get many hopper hits, but she still weighs the marker down .. but the huge 220 ball capacity is awesome.. i have found that the paddles sometimes ( when the balls are running low ) bounce around the hopper like a keno barrel.. almost like its throwing them away from the feed neck..

The after thought X boards had 'x-board' printed on them between the batteries contacts.
Go the halo b or revi.

if you play back Id go for an Egg, fast, easy to load and holds a lot.

I found the halo easier to reload, but I saw some people have problems with theirs not feeding right and it appears the shell is a bit weak in places. The evolution 2 is cheaper and the plastic is slightly stronger but balance is an absolute turd and the feed neck can break if you are not careful due to the offbalance feed neck. the halo is faster than the evlution 2.

Mary, was yours a TSA or a "B" ?

neither, I had looked at the Halo B force fed hopper, the Revi and it's derivatives (x-board, the different aftermarket motors and boards for them), evolution2s, friends here in rockhampton had hoppers ranging from Halo B to the Evolution 2 and different types of Revi's, I found the evolution 2 the appealing, it kept up with the marker I had at the time (gravity fed, agitate assisted hopper were too slow), and was cheaper than the Halo B.

To check to see if you have a X-board in the revy all you have to do is to turn in on, then place a finger in the hole the paint comes out and move it in and out quickly. If there is any sort of delay or sometimes it does not activate then you have a old board. If it activates every time you have a X-board.

Personaly, in your situation I'd buy an Egg.
You've got an electric spyder right? And you say you can shoot at it's top speed, which is what 13bps, then don't go to a revvy. Even with an X-board you will out shoot your hopper and jam your bolt when you get an exceedingly bad ball break.
The TSA can keep up with your spyder yet it seems you don't seem to like it that much...and well have sold it. So bassicaly I'd recommend getting an egg, so that you know you won't out shoot it. Plus this way, when you get a new marker you know you already have a fast hopper for it or even if you get a new board for your spyder, the hopper will keep up.
If you can out shoot your hopper, don't change your game to not break balls, get a new hopper as soon as possible. But maybe go to a training day and play with an X-boarded revvy and if there is absolutely no instance of you out shooting it then you're fine.

Eukanuba I have a egg, TSA halo, and X board revy. I would agree with Frogy the egg is the way to go. I got 1 for my new Timmy and well I can't fault it.
i have used all the mentioned loaders before and would have to say i prefer the revy because its light and keeps up but if you think your shooting at around 13bps on your spyder then get an egg. I found the Halo bs are a bit heavyer than an egg and they only hold around 170-180 balls compared with the eggs 200.

ive counted balls in my egg and it just squeezes in 220
but i will check that again
Go the Halo B or the Egg II both with the Z boards anything else and you are going to upgrade later anyway. Save money and time.
Me personally, I prefer the Egg II and so does all of SWAT for that matter.
Just my 2 cents worth.................................. :D
