Forums have been upgraded to vB 4

If you have problems logging in or staying logged in after the upgrade, make sure that you clear your cookies and cached files.
That will resolve those sorts of issues in 95% of cases.

We upgraded the forums to the latest version of vB last night.
This brings a lot of new features that we will be switching on over the next few days.

It also broke pretty much all of our old custom plugins & code. I am installing updated versions of these where they exist, and rewriting the old custom stuff that I developed myself, but this is going to take a little while.
Things like the Arcade, the jewbox... sorry shoutbox will be up and running soon.

After the basics are all back we then will tweak the visual style a littel too. But as thats just cosmetic it can to wait till last.

I also need to all all the old info into the new CMS front end too.
The CMS is going to be great when fully set up, but more on this later.

When various products and plugins have been updated I will list them below.

I understand we'll be using the old Classifieds system for a while,
but do the new features (once you get around to them) include a better Classifieds feature?

EDIT:
Also on each persons profile, we have an 'avatar' image and a 'profile' image available.
However there isn't a way to insert a 'profile' image through settings just yet, as far as i can tell.
This will be an update later to come i assume?

I will be doing some tweaking to it later, but for now it should help those having shoutbox withdrawel syndrome.

The for sale forums are operational again.
They will have to do till a proper sales module is installed.

Basic permission have been added for users to access "Home".
This is the CMS that will host all the non forum content for the site.

At present pretty much nothing has been migrated so it will seem pretty sparse in there.
Its also using the default template so you will see stuff like CNN video feeds. This will be modified later.

I have to recode it so it supports vB4 standards.

All data is still safe in the database so as soon as its recoded everyone will have their icons back.

Can we get a list of the biggest Tools on here and put them in a quick drop-down from the front page?

Hi Bill I don't know how to take a sceen shot ... a lil beyond me.
If I choose a drop down menu from top of page (community/forum actions/quick links) the addvert below covers the drop down and will not let me access it.
I'm using internet explorer, I can use mozilla and this does not happen .. is it a setting or a prob with IE?

also noticed still no supporter icon ?

and any chance on re-establishing the s/box archive......like to knock down a certain young keyboard warrior, a peg or two !!!....hehehehehehe !

Ok, vB have release an update (well 2 updates , one to patch the first update but we wont talk about that) this week.
I should install that sometime over the weekend.

I have the code running on the test site but never migrated it to here.
