My New Hoppers

Hey guys,

I got a pulse hopper and a halo V35 recently with my ego 7

with the help of some superglue the halo is up and working and i have a new shell on the way. the pulse is in worse condition then i first thought with more than just a stripped battery cover screw. id say it will need a new shell.


My first question is about the V35: How the hell do i program it. i did as the intructions say and it stays on 24bps. i want to be able to program it down to 17bps so i can still use at gords on mondy ntes once i get my gun

My second Question is about the pulse: Are there replacement shells available?? as i heard they stopped making them due to a law suit....?
from teh reviews ive read it has different modes and opperates as the name says in pulses. mine is continous feed. i got the original box with it tho no instructions

Any help would be greatly appreciated and i thank you in advance.

ps im in Qld and will be heading out to Samford tomorrow for a few hrs

1) Shouldn't need to turn your hopper down, BPS is based on your markers settings.

2) If you can't find shells in the online stores maybe try eBay or pbnation.

I have a rotor. It has one button and works.

Why wouldn't you be able to use it on your marker even on 24bps?

Also you followed the exact instructions as per the manual?

Andi not a case of being a Noob. They take half the parts from a Halo like the bowl etc which is not what i have or want to do. My halo works fine.

As for the 24bps. When i rang gords they said mondy nte is a drop in & gthey limit ppls rof to make it even as ppl on that mainly us bts and a5s.

I only have the foldout manual that explains hold it down etc press once for ea program u wanna move up

parts for pulses are nearly non-existant as the company making them got sued and made to stop making them for copyright infringment. So the only parts left are the ones made before the lawsuit. nearly 2 years ago. stuff it in a halo shell anyway, cos the pulse shells where garbage. the first comp i saw them being used 3 broke feednecks. And there a stupid shape.

And a halo is again a slightly older hopper, i can remember basicly how to program the victory boards but i have no idea what the hell the "V35" is. everybody basicly just ran victory boards. would of probably been better off buying something a bit newer. 2nd hand hoppers arent really great. plus hopper techs jumped ALOT in the last 2 years.

Then just put on a gravity fed hopper, cause evan if you do turn down you hopper it will still rip any standard a5

Then you need to limit the semi auto speed of the marker, not the hopper. Even at 17bps it's still fast.

Ive done the Halo Pulse mod a bunch of times ..
Its Great if your Halo Board dies or you have a Pulse RF chip (great hopper than)
its pretty easy but you need all the Halo Parts Except Motor Battery harness Board and eyes. do you pretty much lose a hole hopper to do .

yeah shrader that was my plan. Then i was like if its only a press of a button a few times they might allow it so why spend any money.

Sandman - the pulse & halo hoppers & luxfer tank came with my Ego 7 so i was like bonus. Gets me started for now til i learn what i wanna play & if i wanna buy a new one.

what i am trying to say is evan if your force fed hopper is on the slowest speed it will still be alot faster than a gravity one, ask the place where you are playing they will lend you one for free i would say.

the ego 7 will have a cap you can set on semi auto cap it at 17 and your done no need to change hoppers

yeah they do have a cap but it will still rip when it is caped at 17

yeah you can cap it slower but only down to 10 bps that is still fast, imo the best solution is a gravity fed hopper.

cool i will play with the Ego when i pick it up.

The bps was a stipulation i got from gords when i rang up. Im more then happy too raise hell and hopefully not be shot while doon so.

The conversion is not a conversion at all. Its a if u need to put ur halo in a new shell u can steal these bits from a pulse. A true conversion is take all of this from the pulse & put into a Halo shell.

Anyway il leave the pulse alone & keep the tape and superglue upto it til its buggered. Then il toss up between a new pulse & rotor. From the reviews ive read there pretty close.

Hey Al,

I've got a Rotor on top of my Drone mate.

Matty is on the money; one button and it's fine.
The rotor can actually feed at 50 bps. Ask me and I'll show you tomorrow mate.
As all the boys have said, you cap your marker and a hopper like the Rotor will only feed as quickly as the breach is emptied.

It stupid how simple and effective the Rotor is mate.
And by the time you're in the market for a new one the Rotor might just have dropped a little in price..:rolleyes:

It's worth the coin though mate.

Gord's concerns about Balls Per Second are valid. however the answer does not have to be a feature of your equipment. I have played on Monday nights and Gord is happy for you to exercise self control.

All I do is use a single trigger finger. Don't walk the trigger and don't go beserk with the single finger. If you can manage this consistently you'll be fine at Gord's Monday nights.

Spend you money playing, not on equipment you don't need yet :)

When's the last time I ripped on you? :) At Tac-Air day I use the least ammo by far. Last time the next lowest ammo use was double what I use!
