heat it up with a hair dryer, then use dental floss/fishing wire to work it off the glue. Then use turps or meth to clean off the glue. You might need a small pick or a jewelers screwdriver to pick it so you can work the floss/fishing wire in.
Yeah like dV said, the dental floss and hairdryer combination works a treat.
But if you're not sure about the metho mucking up your nice finish, use a citrus based acidic remover like DissolveIt or just nail polish.

DIDNT write it but is the best method
Hairdryer works for all adhesive stickers, including some intended to be permanent!
Be patient, warm up larger areas with a fan-heater, and remove residual adhesive with Desolveit (orange based solvent). Mineral turps also works for many adhesives but is smelly and messier to use.
You are using the correct temperature when the adhesive softens enough for a slow peel, but the sticker is not so hot as to stretch and break.
They all come off in the end, and there should be no paint damage unless you are very hamfisted and use metal tools and/or too much heat.
With two people on the job, one to heat and one to peel, you can get on a roll and remove a vanload of stickers in half an hour or less.

Hey Ed you going to SA anodizing? I went and visited the guys there and fortunately one of the chemical reps who was passing through used to work at loctite and if there are any screws or pieces of foreign metal attached to the marker you must remove all of the right down until you just have the core aluminium body of the marker otherwise it'll arc and change the characteristics of the marker. If there are any screws loctited in to the gun and you've removed all the o rings and plastic parts its quite safe to heat it up about 150 decrees celsius should do the trick with the loctite. You can also try extreme cold too if that doesn't work let the marker cool to room temp then put it in the freezer.

a heat gun, as prev. stated will remove most adhesive attached vinyl's etc, metho is the best method for removing residual adhesive as it will also evaporate easily, turps is more oil based and harder to remove, on the locktite subject; not 100% sure of the name but there is a locktite brand freeze agent that will make a locktited bolt very easy to remove.
{in Walgett they keep metho in the fridge!}

Loctite "Freeze n Release". Can pick it up from Repco
