It is a pleasure to announce that Ignition Sweden will be using the Cyborg in 2004! Below is the pressrelease being sent out:

Usually the off season gives time for teams to relax, zip some extra drinks and go impressing on the girls in the skislopes. Well not in the Swedish camp this year. EXL team Ignition have been extremely busy with building their X-ball squad.

Ignition have had some majour changes done to their sponsors lineup. They recently signed with Draxxus for 2004 and will be seen on the X-ball fields sporting all the new DXS clothing.

Team spokesperson Agge comments:

“We are extremely happy for being chosen by such a high profile company as Draxxus to display their awesome products. We will not only shoot the best paint there is, we have also signed with DXS for all clothing including their new bas ass DXS shoe! Vforce is also a part of the deal and we will use the ever popular Vforce Profiler along with the rest of the gear”

Stephen Baldwin at Draxxus Europe have this to say about their new signing:

“Draxxus Direct Europe are pleased to welcome the addition of Team Ignition to their sponsorship program. Draxxus sponsored teams include some of the best teams in the world and we feel that Ignition comfortably fit into this bracket. We are particularly pleased that they qualified as an EXL team for 2004 and are shure that their dedication and perseverance will see them succed at this very high level of competition. It is also particularly pleasing to have a top Swedish Team included in the Draxxus stable.”

Mac Developments of Australia have also stepped in to support the team. The team is getting kitted with the new fast Cyborg, the Conquest airsystem and the MatchStik barrel kit.

“We feel that in X-ball you need to be able to shoot as much paint as possible in a short period of time so we started to look around for a marker that could do this. In the Cyborg we have found just that, and along with the low weight of the marker this will be a huge advantage!”

MacDev had this to say:

“We at opb are very happy to welcome Swedish Pro Team Ignition in our Mac Development family. Ignition is known on the European tournament scene as a very aggressive and fair playing team. The team members are very experienced and well behaved players who are very helpful and supportive to other teams, that’s one of the most important criteria for us when we are looking for a team promoting our products. We can’t see a better choice to promote the products in Europe and hopefully at the World Cup in Orlando as well. The potential in the team is huge and we are certain that they will do fantastic in both the EXL and the Nordic Series this year.”

Furthermore Ignition have signed with Odyssey Group who will supply the team with the Halo hopper.

“With the extremely fast Cyborg we felt we had to do it justice by allowing it to shoot as fast as it can, so we chose to use Halos for 2004. Shooting Draxxus through the Cyborg and now using Halos will round up a perfect match that we believe will take us far in the EXL!”

Ignition are pulling out all the stops in their preparation for the EXL season. They have recruited a few new talented players along with a coach. Together with sister team Hypnotize they are even building an exact replica of the EXL arenas being used this year complete with compressor and everything! So any teams wanna get some serious X-ball practises, give the team a shout.

They are going to be a new team to watch out for. They have been conistently beating Dynasty when Dynasty are in Europe, and with Borgs in their hands hot dam.

Deadeye Ignition have been playing PRO in the millennium series for the last two seasons, in fact I think they started in Amateur and never played novice, which was back in 2000.

Is that you?

Yes, Ignition have only been playing Am and Pro. Last two seasons as Pro, went from Am to sixth place Pro in only two seasons... Funniest moment was when we won the Joy Masters and me and I think you Pete was standing at the scoreboard. We finished on the same points and I believe we had to go to column seven in the tiebreaker to find out who was the winner... you had more penalties I think :D :D :D
