NQPPA Money Tourney !!!!!!!

NORTH QUEENSLAND PAINTBALL PLAYERS ASOCIATION ‘MONEY COMP’

The NQPPA will be holding a Money tournament on the 1st & 2nd of May at the Adrenalin Plus field in Townsville.
Two divisions: Open (Money Comp) & Amateur (Trophies & Prizes)
Entry fees:
Open division: $300 per 5-man team. Guaranteed $1500 first prize (more teams in Money Comp more money to be won).
Amateur division: $150 per 5-man team. First to third receive trophies, first to last receive prizes. Yes that’s right, no matter where you come in the rankings you will go home with a keepsake of the weekend. Anybody that has played in a NQPPA tournament knows that you don’t go home empty handed.

This is a BYO paint tourney, although if you don’t want to lug paint with you, Adrenalin Plus will have paint for sale. (RPS Standard Premium, Allstar & Marbliser). At unbelievable prices.
Air/CO2: $10 per player if required.
FREE players lunch for 2 days included in entry fee.
All games will be played on Supair fields, with designated refs.
Raffles will be run over the weekend including Lucky Door Prize & with over $200 worth of Seafood on offer.

THIS IS GOING TO BE ONE HELL OF A WEEKEND

i would like to appoligise to everyone bout the no-show at the training over the weekend but due to unforseen surcumstances i was not able to show. instead we decieded to build a new field down at adrenalin paintball. its not bad this weekend we are going down to finish off. it will look good.

i have also made some extra lenght pegs to hold the sup air field in the sand.....so bring your shovels and come have some fun!!!

Tourneys arent like a box of paint. They need volume of teams.
This is why Alex let the APECS go.
By your reasoning if we have 2 other tourneys on that same weekend then they will all get even better??

SWAT arn't invincible they are just another team. With that sort of attitude to a team they have you already beat before you step on the field. Myself and many teams have beaten SWAT before, I'm not saying they are not a good team they have been around for a long time and they are definattly beatable. The last full year of the APPL SWAT won the year but FIRESTORM won 3 out of the 4 tourneys that year, SWAT where more cosistant. (that's a whole other story)
So it take it buy your thinking that you won't turn up and play at a tournement if some big name teams are there, how are you supposed to get any better or how is your team going to get better.
As for Alex doing what he did again there is always 2 sides to a story any many ways to percieve what has been done, don't be one eyed about it all.

My point is the attitude of being scared of better teams, myself I look forward to the rush of playing a better team, that's what it's all about, testing your skill and what you have trained for against a team.

Winning is all about attitude the right one will get you there the wrong one will get you to the dead box..
For the tourney up in Townsville I won't be putting all my money on SWAT there will be a few other teams to look out for.

You read me wrong guys, I love to play Swat and Firestorm coz you know you have a real fight on your hands. That is the buzz.
But if all the tourneys are going to clash for whatever reason. The chances of playing all the team is less. Some are at 1 and some are at the other. That Aint Rocket Science.
If Swat go to one and firestorm the other. Why would i go?? i am far better off to wait and go to the tournywhere they will both be. It works out cheaper for us.

tyddy the whole aim of this tourney is to provide a service(for lack of better words) to the players of the NQPPA who cant make it down to the tourney due to financial and other reasons.

its not to stab blobbly in the back or for us even to play against the likes of swat,crackers etc etc.it is however a bonus that these teams are taking the time to travel a large distance!! for that i would sat that everyone is greatfull.

it works out good for the NQPPA that it is a long weekend the weekend that the tourney is on. otherwise they would run it on another weekend. public holidays and long weekends are far and few between as you know.

What I find funny, is, that this topic of "tourneys being held on same weekends" never use to come up when field operators would schedule a tourney for the same weekend as the APPL would have a tourney. My some people have short memories, it's funny how some people jump up and down when the shoe is on the other foot. But them again, it's all the same shit just a different jockey...

Anyway look at the big picture if Rocky gets 15 teams and we get 15 teams that’s 30 teams on the same week end and that means there is no reason we can’t have a tourney with 30 or more :D :D

Cliffy, for putting our whole team up in his flat and helping us move all of our gear arround, very much appreciated. Well done to the NQPPA and A+ and everyone who made it a geat tourney. Well done SWATT for the win and Toy Soldiers for 3rd. Thanks to the boys from MACKAY (sorry, Dad thought it was Cairns) for bringing down the sup air and Mike from APG for the extra bunkers. Ok, just about done, just a coulple more. Wolf pack 2, you guys just have no fear, well deserved 2nd place, and all of the Am teams who gave everyone a run for their money.

Hi Guys,

Just got back from Townsville this afternoon, from a really great weekend and paintball. We all had a total blast finally being able to put a face next to an avatar.

Many thanks to all the teams who played, The refs from Adrenalin+, Rick and Adam and their crew, The NQPPA, in particualar Mick Loveridge, :respekt: who on top of co-ordinating the actual running of the tourny set up a heap of loner cars for several of the teams. Young Guns included.

Big thanks to Whitey, you are a dead set Legend dude, We had 16 teams play everyone over 15 rounds (120 games) plus finals and exibition games for Channel 9 and we were watching trophy presentations by 2.00pm Sunday.

It was great to catch up with Timbo aka "Captian DuckBill" who has not lost any skill or cunning. A clever ply to take me out by shooting my barrel condom on my gun just before we played his team was only part one of a cunning yet ruthless attempt to beat us. A second more deadly ploy simply involved bribing one of my teammates to simply shoot me in the back on the breakout. The rest of the guys are very upset, any one of them would have done it for a lot less................................ :cry:

I was very impressed. Outwitted and Outclassed :help:
