Snipers Den Paintball is located less then 1 km from Moorabbin Airport.
6 acres of outdoor goodness in the heat of suburban Melbourne.

We are not currently getting involved in the BYO gear market as there is already a massive number of venues in Vic. If we get enough interest - this may change.

What type of fields are you going to have?
and
What type of game play are you going to have?
X ball or bush ball or like scenario?

The venue is an outdoor field focused on scenario play.
We cant say that we are bushball because we have no trees.
We may look to convert a field to an XBall type setup down the track
The fields are being developed over the next 4-5 weeks. Expect some photos when it is starting to take shape.
Got some interesting ideas for some of the fields that should work well.

just an observation but there are only 2 venues that have specific byo gear/members days/nights

and possibly a 3rd one opening up

im sure you have several reason for no byo gear but i thought i would just point out there isnt an "abundance" of byo fields :)

also if you happen to have a group with a player that would like to bring there own gear im pretty sure you will find that player is the one you make the most money off as they will shoot alot more paint :P


and lastly im pretty sure there would be interest if you were to start a members club/ members day.... maybe get in contact with neil off here (bills) to ask him about the setup he has for members days at carrum downs....if you ever decide to change your mind :)

Welcome mate, and all the very best in advance. I'm sure that if you establish the right contacts then your success will come easy for you, especially in such a tight-knit community as the Paintball community.

Are your restrictions on BYO gear attached to licensing issues?
If so, then don't underestimate the knowledge of the regular players you'll be able to contact via Bill's.
If there is one thing that I believe to be true of this community; they are well-informed about their sport, and have a higher-than-usual vested interest in ensuring that adherence to all rules/regulations happens.

When we looked at the Vic market we saw MIP, WSP, Carrum Downs and Rawson all with inhouse clubs. While the market is growing we were not sure if another BYO venue would get the required support. As stated in the post - if we get enough interest we are more then happy to readdress this.

I come from a punterball background so the licensing surrounding the BYO side of things was a small factor. saying that LSD have been very supportive and a true wealth of information.
I have no doubt that there is a fantastic knowledgebase here. Already had some help on gas bottles and suppliers through a mates account. Thanks for the support guys, look forward to meeting more of the Vic paintball community in person.
