Just a quick tip for you i3 owners out there.

Sumtimes you just get gogged so bad you really need to take out those lenses to give em a good wash and de-shell. Its a bastard task at the best of times and many a finger nail has been bent back, ripped off, or broken doing them.

Getting them apart; fully wet them and have them dripping when you try and pull the rubber away from the lenses. The water will stop the rubber from gripping on the lense tabs that fit in the frame.

Putting them together; now you dont really want to wet your clean lenses so you dont get streaks or spots on the inside, fog free layer. You also dont want to rub this inside layer too much either as its a softer plastic. Get yourself some water based personal lube, as in KY jelly, ect.. and apply the smallest amount to the small plastic tabs before you slide them back in the rubber frame. Make sure you dont touch the inside of the leses when your putting them back together. The lube is water based so any finger prints should wipe off easily when you finish.

I have no more hassles and it works like a charm every time.
Peace with a paintball gun!

Nps & Thanks Big T.
I agree with you 100%, i have seen alot of chin/ jaw shots in the recent past, all of them wear i4's. I have tried on a pair of i4's, they do have a great field of vision, but its not ground breaking and dosnt give you a clear advantage.

Just to add to this. When it seems to grip up on the frame, instead of forcing it in, i back off, get some lube on a cotton tip and rub it along the edges, then it slides straight in. Minimal mess and you can directly apply it to where you need it.

Im starting to get at my witts end with my I3s! My hands are totally ripped apart, bruised and pinched.

I did give this a go, but i found it very hard to take the lenses out of the frame with the plastic wet. I found the plastic slipped in my hands :( Yet to try the KY thing though.

But I'm at a point now where im going to use my I3s as a backup. And get myself some Grills :) If hotshots ever reply to my email :(

I might make a youtube video in the next day or so to show you how I do it.
It still does take a bit of force to get them apart but you also need to pop out the top bits in the right order for it to come out easy.
Dont lose hope yet bro! ;)

Well what works well to remove the lens is start at the top where the Dye Logo is on the lens itself. Ripped the goggle frame off and work from the top down on each side. After you have done any cleaning that needed to be done you can throw the goggle frame itself in the microwave for about 3-5 seconds to soften up the plastic. Make sure the goggle straps are removed first. It will make it easier to work with and install the new lens (or the old one if necessary).

Note: Im not ripping them apart, when they are wet they just pop apart easily.
Also when I say the plastic nobs might break off, i meant only the ones on the nose bit, the big ones should all be intact.
