yeah have used one in the states i just boost the pressure from a cylinder of air to a high pressure kinda like a mini compressor but they are slow and are quite pricey and prone too breaking

The priciple these work on is quite simple, they simply intensify the pressure at the end of one cylinder by having a bigger surface on the other side of the driving piston, they are really an air powered compressor.
Where they would go wrong would be in the valving...but no prob to me...I do this shit for a living...
Might have to invest in one?!

apparently they do get very hot when you try to fill a few cylinders in a row and therefore pump in a hot charge into the cylinder which is not good for fibre wrap cylinders. This is just what people have raised on other forums but they do sound good if it's just for yourself or maybe just a couple of people.

yeah the problem with putting a hot gas in the cylinder is that it will cool down and your pressure will be less then.
have a look at your gas laws that will explain it more
also you will use a greater volume of air to get that higher pressure
