Okay so im new to paintball, Ive recently bought an empire e-vent and empire's last year liquid 4+5 pack. After playing some rec ball with them i find them very good other than the fact my smoked lense seems to be peeling some clear plastic after i cleaned it....
Anyways I'm looking to buy some more gear specifically pants. i was thinking of buying these if non show up in my wanted thread

Pants look fine (not much stats there though)...
perhaps give a look here for some feedback: http://www.pbreview.com/products/reviews/5197/
I've seen other pants for cheaper on other Aussie shop sites, shop around. from what I've tried, Pants are Pants are Pants are Pants! Uncoloured goes with everything, and unless your going to be playing 3 days a week, anything works good as rec ball pants

Depends how much sliding you want to do and how screwed your knees are already... :D

if you are unsure about size, and cant try on, go for something with belt loops in it like empire, i am a 36, but use an xl size which is a 38 if thats any help
and if you wearing knee pads, look at one size up, and a slightly loose fit is better than ripping em up.

Knee pads are a must i dont care what anyone says... if you screw ya knees up your screwed no more paintball and what ever other sports you are in to so protect them!!!!!! i would personaly by Knee pads before pants...
also dude i love all ecpise gear its the shit!!! but you can find pants much cheaper then that and newer ones as well.. i know propaintballshop had a I3 mask and C7 pants going for 100 bucks a couple weeks ago (which was an wicked deal cheers spencer) and a couple of my team mates are wearing them for training... so hunt around but in the end its your money..
also with the size part of them many pants come with ajustable velcro straps on the side i am a 32 waist and wear a xl but could almost go a xxl remember baggyer the better, baggy = Bounce... :)

the plastic peely thing thats happening to your mask is most likely the protective film that you should remove before you play. if it is dont worry its not a newby thing i know a few players that couldnt work out why thier masks were always foggy peel it off and start rippin.

is the orginal smoke lense that comes with empire vents thermal or are they just single?

Yep. It should have a film across the inside of the lens. Like the plastic that's on the screen of a new mobile phone. You'll have to pull the lens out to get the film off though.

how wierd... my clear lense is thermal ive peeled the last thing off but the smoked one i think is single ( it doesnt have the black rim liek the thermal clear)
after playing a day with the smoke and cleaning it theres like a small contact thing on inside and outside of the lense that is peeling, if i breathe on the part that has peeled it fogs but if i breathe ont eh parts that havent it doesnt fog... so im guessing this is normal for my smoked single lens or something?
btw my event is white if that matters :S

single lenses have a thin film across the back which prevents them from fogging. you will notice it especially if you wear prescription glasses underneath your goggles because the frames of your spec's sometimes rub against it and cause it to wear. it is probably this layer that is peeling off, in which case, time to buy yourself a new lense

Trigger, don't bother buying the single pane non-thermal lenses for your events. As soon as the inside of the lens gets wet, the coating cracks and peels off.
Invest in a thermal lens and you won't have a problem.

be real careful what you use on your lenses....
One of the member asked me for some anti fog spray, and without thinking i used jt magic spray on his empire lens. The lens started bubbling right in front on my eyes...
JT magic spray works fine on JT lens but literally ate this lens in front of me.
Stick to just a mircofibre cloth and only what your own manual says is ok..
