i think this is really good idea for new players and regulars alike...

there have been many near misses by people who consider themselves experienced players. some may be experienced at playing however, not so experienced in standard safety protocol. i wont name names but those of you know who you are

I think this is more to do with getting the safety cert in preparation for getting a licence, to bring the markers home as opposed to a more general safety lesson.

Everyone, including punters is run through a basic induction process though. Like goggles and barrel bags and what not. But that's par for the course for every field
in Australia isn't it? What else is there?

i think it should be different for tourney guys cause we have different protocols... live field/dead field/pit areas/players areas safety... amount of times dudes come strolling into the pits and forget to put a conny on... if people were drilled about it they would do it second nature... it doesnt help when idiots from america come over and do clinics and take off their gogs on a LIVE field... you shouldnt be so pedestrian about it... cause those fools didnt sign a waver like any other punter...

and yes every field shouhld have a 20 minute induction for safety and gear instructions... if they dont then that isnt good... it isnt good AT ALL!

I have spoken to the person running the course and we can organise it to start pretty much as soon as you finish your game if you are keen to do the course still.
