How long from the test date is it good befor i need to retest?

And is their anywhere in Melbourne/Geelong that tests the bottles?

i think its every 3 or 5 years not sure where to get done though

Take it to a dive / scuba shop. They use the same test on scuba tanks.

Usually between $40 - $50.

There is a place in Port Melbourne that does it. I will get you the number tomorrow. Tet periods differ from state to state, as far as i am aware vic is 5 years.

I think that you'll find that the test period depends on the bottle not the state.

When I got my bottle tested in December the staff read a code on the bottle, I retest in 5 years. If it had been a different code I would have had to retest in 3 years.

Just ring the dive centre with your bottle handy to read the codes out.
