The following is a letter we received from Chuck earlier this morning. We have posted the message in its entirety.
“HB is back. 7-man is saved. The previous NPPL Professional Teams are taking matters into their own hands by forming a new 7-man national circuit. The first confirmed event of this new series will be held at the sacred Huntington Beach venue April 2 – 5, 2009. More details will be released in the days to come. Until then, be happy. Be very happy.
Happy New Year,
[USPA / NPL ] Executive Staff
Chuck Hendsch, Bart Yachimec, Alex Fraige, Rich Telford, Tom Fore, Eric Crandall”
Here's one response by from a blogger....
The nppl was much better back when chuck was in charge and pro teams where reffing. If any of you can even remember. I think whatever they put together will be much more focused on the sport, as apposed to investers only wanting a return. And shawn walker is a royal f-up so it's already better. I'll be happier to support this league then the former nppl, and I hve been involved in it from d3 to pro, so for all you saying you can't make it working your way up....I have played every single division. And having pro focused events is the only way to advance or even have the desire to play....who wants to spend tons of money on tournament paintball without the dream of moving to the top
Looks like its going to be similar to the PSP in the sense of being owned and run by the Pro Players - shall be interesting, to see how and if this works. Fingers crossed.
