A big thanks to everyone who played in and were involved in World Series Paintball's first league... It was a massive success and although this may sound very cheesy, the real winner was paintball... Out of the 8 teams there was not one team that did not improve out of sight and quite a few teams who could more than hold there own in Div 2 of just about any 3man event.
After the finals the results were:
1st - C-Bombs
2nd - The Unit!
3rd - A-Team
4th - Jumpin Jacks
The Standings at the end of the Season were as follows:
1st - A-Team
2nd - Jumpin Jacks
3rd - C-Bombs
4th - All Stars
5th - The Unit!
6th - Super Awesome
7th - Bacardi 151's
8th - Ultimate Force
I'd also like to thank Melbourne Mayhem for providing the Refs for the league, you guys were awesome every round.
Lastly Congratulations to Adrian Curtis (C-Bombs) who won the player of the season. He improved out of sight throughout the season and showed great commitment. He started off a rather ordinary player and i was actually a little worried he would hang around after some of the hammerings he got, but took it upon himself to improve and is now quite a solid player...
Season 2 will kick off on the 9th of Feb 2009 for Div 2 (this years teams) while the new Div1/Open division will kick of the following night on 10th Feb.
If your interested or have any questions don't hesitate to ask...
