Well Round 2 has been and gone with Xtreme the victors over XF Destruction in a hard thought match that went 6 minutes into sudden death.

Just some stats on Xtreme and why they won......One minor penalty all weekend, only concede 1 point in the tourney till the final match against XF Destruction and didnt drop a match all weekend. My hat goes off to Flip and the boys on their play.

Another big mover was Rage City who took out Div 2 from an ever improving Uprising. These teams mixed up really well against the Div 1 teams knocking a few of them off over the weekend.

Was great to see some new teams play AXL and enjoy themselves. Who said SAian's dont travel Kronik turned up and and so did 2 SA refs. Kronik played hard all weekend and with a little more xball experience will be a powerhouse team.....TNT, what can you say about these guys. Win, lose or draw you couldnt stop Rainy from giggling like a little school girl all weekend and was great to have a team like Blade back in the AXL after a hiatus for the last 18 months.

I'd also like to thank the reffs for the great job they done over the weekend. They kept a tight reign on things and had to put up with some mighty cold weather and some naughty players.

A big thanks to Diane, Bourke and James who kept things ticking over for me and eased a big burden for me so that I could play and coach on the weekend.

Thanks to Peter Moss and all the staff at Camden Paintball for making us feel welcome and going out of their way to accomodate us. Camden Paintball has only been open for around 3 months but Peter has done a great job in getting things up and running in a short time for this tournament.

And a special thank you to all the players and teams that made it a memorable weekend and hope to see everyone at Round 3. details should be up within the next week or so.

Im feeling the love Souse,

I would like to say a big thank you to Souse and Macdev for holding AXL at Camden paintball. Souse you rock! it was a big effort on your behalf.

Thank you to all the teams for respecting the venue and giving me all the great feedback. Camden paintball is dedicated to giving back to the sport and I hope everyone can see that.

I hope to hold many more events and continue to improve our comp venue starting with a spectator area and a second field.

God Bless

Mossy

With underground Air and no noisy compressors in the staging areas you are off to a good start!

Plus you guys build one hell of a good fire on a cold morning!

I have to admit the venue was great... the BBQ especially and the helpers .... I am bringing the family next time!!!! ... BUT
..... PLEASE ... let us stay at the field .... it was better than the "other" accommodation.....

dude, your dog is the BEST! Friday arvo when I got there I saw him pick up a beer bottle, manouver it around so the neck was facing towards his mouth, and then he upped it and drunk the dregs. That was so awesome.

Yes Mossy it was an outstanding venue keep up the good work... the underground air worked like a treat i got 4000 fills for my 2 and a half games ;) but the team got that all weekend... Good to finally see a venue like this close to the airport and not in it to rip the tourney players off.. My hat goes off to you...

Just like to Thank Camden Paintball (especially Pete and all the staff), you guys have a great set up and the event was run extremely well. Thanks to others such as Macdev, Souse with his tireless event planning, the refs and all the other staff that were behind the scenes. You all did a great job and made the event run smoothly as possible.:respekt:

Congrats go out to Xtreme. You guys are still the bench marks of AXL these days and its great watching you guys play. Congrats go to Rage City as well. You guys stepped it up when you needed to and it was great playing you guys. See you again in Rd 3.

Big thanks to all the players of UPRISING. Once again we can hold our heads high or another strong performance. Given the fact that some this was their first AXL event, we did better than expected. Thanks to our podders, added coaches and photographers working hard on the sidelines. You guys rock.:clap:

Anyways, looking forward to Round 3, maybe this time we can bring it home one more step.

Cheers,
Arf.
