AXL Series

Well Round 2 has been and gone with Xtreme the victors over XF Destruction in a hard thought match that went 6 minutes into sudden death.
Just some stats on Xtreme and why they won......One minor penalty all weekend, only concede 1 point in the tourney till the final match against XF Destruction and didnt drop a match all weekend. My hat goes off to Flip and the boys on their play.
Another big mover was Rage City who took out Div 2 from an ever improving Uprising. These teams mixed up really well against the Div 1 teams knocking a few of them off over the weekend.
Was great to see some new teams play AXL and enjoy themselves. Who said SAian's dont travel Kronik turned up and and so did 2 SA refs. Kronik played hard all weekend and with a little more xball experience will be a powerhouse team.....TNT, what can you say about these guys. Win, lose or draw you couldnt stop Rainy from giggling like a little school girl all weekend and was great to have a team like Blade back in the AXL after a hiatus for the last 18 months.
I'd also like to thank the reffs for the great job they done over the weekend. They kept a tight reign on things and had to put up with some mighty cold weather and some naughty players.
A big thanks to Diane, Bourke and James who kept things ticking over for me and eased a big burden for me so that I could play and coach on the weekend.
Thanks to Peter Moss and all the staff at Camden Paintball for making us feel welcome and going out of their way to accomodate us. Camden Paintball has only been open for around 3 months but Peter has done a great job in getting things up and running in a short time for this tournament.
And a special thank you to all the players and teams that made it a memorable weekend and hope to see everyone at Round 3. details should be up within the next week or so.
