when you go to make a new post, or a reply,

just under where you write the text you can see a link to
'manage attachments'

click there..

A window will pop up.. then you click 'Browse' and look for the file on your computer..

after youv found it click 'Add this file'

it will take a while to upload the picture, it will display the file when its finished.


after that just click 'All done' and it will add it to your post..


You can only post pics smaller than 102 kilobytes..

i do all that but how come sometimes the thumbnails open in another window with a different pic as the thumbnail?

Thats answered elsewhere on the site.

Briefly, when I moved the site I reindexed the thumbnails (cos I made them a little larger and renabled them after they died on the previous hosts) This has changed the index number of them.
Some browserss (IE in particular) cache any downloaded pics to save bandwidth and make the site load faster the next tim you visit. You just seeing the pics you downloaded previously, which have now changed index numbers.

To fix it just delete all these cached pics from you PC.
