I have been playing around with my magna drive for some time now trying to get the RF working with my marker
Yes i have checked the batteries, fresh good quality.
It will not spin when i pull my trigger, it only spins every 5 sec,
The blue light is on with the small LED on the bottom left side of the board, so i know there is communication,

Also make sure your testing with paint, as it behaves entirely different when there is back pressure on the drive
(though mine wasn't working properly either untill I got paint in it.

if all else fails
i have found with steel backed grips that the RF reciption can be intermmitant
best fix
straighten the ariel (the red wire) point it straight up and wrap some electrical tape around the board (i have found if the board sits on meatel it shorts out causing it to stop transmitting) this will Make the transmission stronger

maybe too late for this reply but if it's spinning every 5 secs then it's still in sound mode not rf mode .Also won't work with shockers and similar markers where solenoid is directly attached to board...apparantly

This is true but you dont need rf anyway. The differance is so marginal its not worth it.

I have had issues with my magna and RF chip also. Im running a Droid with Tadao board - should I just use sound mode? Is there that little difference?
The issues only started when I put the TADAO board in..

i found if the sound is set to high/6 it drains the battery, i have it set to 1, case im using the RF link sound mode is not needed, speed at 4 should be fine

RF is a lot better than sound mode. I would try to sort it out if you can.
Not sure if the tadao's have noid power options but put that to high if they do.
Otherwise test it with the rf plugged in but hanging out of the gun with the grips open....if that works then you are getting interference from something and may need to fiddle with arial positioning within the frame.
Do the tadao's have a AUX port for the RF? or do you having it running in line with the noid?

also make sure the RF board is as close as possiable to your hopper, try moving your hopper around your marker and make sure its spinning up

the tadao board has a seperate slot for RF but I got told to use the harness and put it in line with the solenoid.... ??
