CDG won the B&F award so he can practice his shooting with the free box of RPS prize. He needs to after shooting Schatts in the hopper from point blank range!

Who was the one who constantly tried for the snake ? And got pinged every time ? He won the hopper. Best improved - he was certainly an enthusiastic chap, but a wee bit silly when EVERYONE Knew he would try for the snake

Yeah thanx to all the refs and especially the camera man who did a great job. Cant wait to see our Bruised Brothers vs Fallout Grudge Match. Oh and Nightshade completely raped Bruised Brother. When Nighshade was congradulating BB, Ethan managed to "accidently" fire and either shoot one of them in leg or close to it. Damn I think he was shitting his dacks. lol

On behalf of Team WELT, I would just like to say thank you for all the positive feed back from our reffing on the weekend. We really wanted to go out and raise the bar on reffing. A lot of time and thought went into setting up the field and all thanks go to The Naughty Ninja, as he racked his brain for a couple of weeks designing a field which was nothing any body here in OZ had played on b4. I hope we achevied it.
As to all the team, cheers for making our job as easy as you possibly could.
Mel, Doc & Boidy, thanks for all your help on the weekend as well. Without you 3, it would not have rolled though so smoothly.
TEAM WELT LOOKS FORWARD TO 2004 AS WE TAKE IT UP ANOTHER NOTCH TO TOTAL DOMINATION.

Round 1 Next year is going to be interesting. 2 days of action at Gambier right? Will it be Sup Air again? from what I saw it didn't look like there wuld be much room fo it there? and is there really going to be twice as many teams? Ive heard a bit of talk about there being 25 teams or so at future rounds??

schatts
04-12-2003, 11:07 PM
Nah JJJ made it to the next bunker alright, by making me push forward (and getting shot) :fu:

When I ask JJJ why he wanted me forward he said it was because he was getting pushed out of his barricade.

With that and getting shot by CDG, I must say I had a pretty good day !!

I guess you guys are starting to even up the ledger deadeye.

JJJ
06-12-2003, 06:12 AM
It was all about CDG wasnt it Schatts.

And Ethan 1 from 5 is not a winning record.

Also, it will be the SAPPA that determines the SAPPA program for next year despite massive interest.

This may or may not result in a cap on teams who can enter as I for one dont want the quality ruined for SAPPA members.

Deadeye
07-12-2003, 06:48 PM

Of course it is. All they say its now 7-man instead of 5-man and add a few more bunkers.

Guess that would be a matter for the SAPPA committee to discuss and make a desision...

Hopefully the APPL will be back bigger better and stonger then we can play both 5 and 7 man.... :D

Deadeye

some teams may only be able to get 5 players because of their location for example Ballistic. Others might not know enough people. Could mean some teams break up and go to other teams to become the extra 2 or 3, adding a few more bunkers might not be that easy either, means someone has to buy them, they are just a few off top of my head im sure there is more.

Room may be another issue as more bunkers and more players means more room needed for Sup'Air setups...Not sure if there would be room at some of the fields...?

If all goes to plan with the relevant legislation changes, the APPL will be back next year with a 7 man stadium tournament series bigger, better and more talked about than Mike Why Brew's manhood................

I think SAPPA has started to hit it's straps with the 5 man series and I don't see the point in changing it...............did someone say something about there being 25 teams at the next SAPPA tourny................not to be pessimistic; I'll believe that when I see it. If that's the case though, surely it would have to be a two day event............could even do a SAPPA round at thebarton oval on sup air, similar to the APPL Rnd 1 last year............just a thought ;)

PS....does anyone know when the SAPPA AGM is on? I know there was a bit of a problem last year....want to make sure I don't miss it this year.

Stadiums arelike 10,000 to hire for the 2 days. Thats $500 each a team if we had 20 teams. Then there would probably be extra costs of course like the shadecloth and security and probably heaps of other things. Then there is the regular $350 or whatever it is that covers I dont know what but stuff:) So would be a $1500 team Entry for a Sappa round:eek:

Grass would be nice though im still hanging out to do some supermans, I wanted to at R4 but the razor sharp rocks were a bit of a put off:p

I personaly hope SAPPA does not try to emulate APPL in 2004. I think the point expressed by Dead_Eye is acurate in there would be so much costs that would be passed onto players.

SAPPA is (or was) about a local series that was at low costs for SAPPA members.

Apart from the costs: (a) who & what hours would have to go in to organise the event (b) how many refs for the event (c) who will organise the event on the day (d) marker rego issues

I have heard that HP Air is looking like a reality for SAPPA in 2004

I thought I had seen it posted somewhere on her - I think under advanced warning of SAPPA thread - Its something like 3rd Sat night in January but I am not sure. It hasnt stuck in my memory as I am still o/s

But for all SAPPA members, if you can contribute some time get involved in the SAPPA organising as the association is there for you. ;)
