Masters update

Hey Everyone,

Games are running fast and smooth and the refs are doing a great job as usual.

The only controversey that we have had so far is 1 player from Team Solid from NZ was caught with a ramping marker.

It was test shot by Peter Russel (head field ref), myself (ultimate ref), Mike Whybrew (promoter) & Matt Storey (NZ ambassador) and we all agreed that it was ramping.

The player was ejected from the event and the team was given a 6 game suspension as per the rules.

Instead the whole team packed up their gear and left.

Other than this incident everyone has been playing top notch ball.

It was old school ramp (not any form of discreat ramp). It kicked in at around 5 bps and went instantly to about 15-16 bps. I was hoping it was only a case of an Angel with the TR set wrong but as soon as anyone shot it we all knew it was full ramp! There is no way the player did not know what his gun was doing. He did try to pretend otherwise but it was not the case.

It was very dissapointing that they packed up and left..... But the fault of this happening rests entirley with the player invoilved.

Other than that it has been a great event....

All the pro players that came down under were all approachable and down to earth {fame hadnt corrupted them} I had drinks in the bar with the Iron men, Mike paxton and brandon short and normally I do well on the pokies but mike clocked it on Monday night haha, Andy Copcock what a cool cat {my favourite team Infamous back in the day} Carl M and HIS BETTER HALF, Alex Savino using my rapper and making it purrrr, Danny and nicky and Shocks player {forgot his name} from Hater,and who could forget the beautiful Bea young. I spent a lot of time going around talking to everyone and the common denominator was that they all LOVED coming to OZ they thought the games were hard and the event rocked!!
They all go back and tell there friends family and team mates how cool the Masters were.
Fancy having Rob from Derder down filming at the Masters - who knows we might see someone we know on the next dvd.

if your gonna make your gun ramp like that you get everything you deserve
its all about moving your fingers faster not what your board can do for you
and if they thought they can get away with that bs that makes them even more dumb than what i first thought which was a poor setting on their board very dissapointing that they just left cos they tryed to do what they did and didnt get way with it (if it was deliberate ,IF) not very good to see at the masters especially seeing though it was such a massive event
