Are you thinking of using compressed Oxygen, in gas form as a propellant for paintball?? Its a probability, Compressed o2 is used in modern medical equipment. But weather it can be used in high velocity uses. Not sure...

Our HPA tanks are designed for Nitrogen but it's just prohibitively expensive to use.

Even a drop of oil in an oxygen rich environment is a explosion risk. A drop of oil in pure oxygen would cause a big badda boom in the right condition. That condition would be heat, as the gas expanded from 4500 psi to say 450 psi it would heat up enough for the correct (or incorrect, depends on how close you are standing) condition to be reached. If you want to try I suggest you stand back the first trigger pull. :evil

This is very dangerous please do not try this..............................it will not only hurt your marker but will probably kill you and those around you as well, when it explodes.

Mark you're spot on Mark. This is an extremely dangerous thing to do.

Glad you asked the question before you tried it Piracy. Nitrogen, straight compressed air or co2 are the only gases to use through your marker and high end markers won't like co2, so Nitrogen or compressed air are your best option.

Using pure oxygen would be the equivalent of smoking while standing in a half full Av-gas drum....potentially a huge fireball!
