I have a Luxfer 4500 psi carbon fiber tank. Above the male threads on the tank there is about a 1 cm of smooth metal and then an O-ring. Right where the O-ring is the metal has been dented which cuts into the O-ring and so I have a slight leak.
Anyone know anyplace in Australia where I can send the tank to get a new male thread connector put on it?
Thanks!
I would be taking it to Luxfer ONLY, and I'd say they'd be throwing it away.
If its new, it would be a warranty issue, if its had a reg in and out of it then its rubbish. Don't gamble with HPA.

Doesn't sound that drastic, just sounds like the reg has a dent at the top. Of course take it to someone that knows what they're doing, and have them fit a new regulator. Remember, HPA can kill
Are you talking about the Reg or the Bottle??? As the bottle doesn't have male threads... I'm sorry dude but if you didn't know that then you definatley shouldn't be messing around with it take it to your nearest shop before you kill yourself...

i know this is resourses but i got to say...bugger me.....6 days 2 replies and 66 views and it takes pyro on the otherside of the world to pic up on that....
to clear it up for peeps...the tank is the big bulbous bit...teh reg is the bit that screws into the tank and connects to your gun....
what brand is the reg...if it is a preset you really shouldnt be taking it off the bottle unless is a push button mac or Sp reg......
if it adjustable then send it back who you bought it off ..they more then likely can get it fixed...you should only need t send the reg unless you have damaged the threads ont eh bottoe...second thoughts send it all back.....just to be safe
remember kiddies.....DON'T #### WITH HIGH PRESSURE AIR....IT KILLS

That's what I said, just not quite as elaborately as you :)
Well I thought he knew what a bottle was, but he didn't know the difference between male and female
Seriously don't mess with HPA!!!

Take a picture of it and post it here, I can tell you straight away..........OTHERWISE take it back to the people you bought it off
well considering how he says there is a thread then a smooth metal bit then an o-ring... my guess is its his reg...
louisr, if it is the bottle and not the reg, these guys here might be able to help you out or point you in the right direction. www.rfd.com.au
That said, there is not really room for error in these things. If it is your reg it could be different story. Post pic.

You need a new reg. I doubt it can be repaired...

Yeah he has probably dropped the bottle and dented the "Ring Land, the little grove that holds the o-ring" on the regulator, easy fix...................
how will we ever know seeing he won't post a pic................jeeeeeeeez
