OK, so Ive decided to get myself an Ion as my entry into the wonderful world of electros.. having come from an A5 (which I still have and love :D) I have no idea when it comes to the extensive range of motorised hoppers available..

I am only after a beginners sort of thing that will keep up with the Ion and I would appreciate your suggestions.

Cheers :)

Depends on wether yo want to upgrade your marker in the future - If the Answer is yes than Go the DRAXXUS PULSE!!!!

Hey Bubba

Check the hoppers feedneck outer diameter if your going to use the Ions Std Feedneck they are not adjustable I know the halos and alike have a wide feedneck and are a drama with some Markers..

Good luck

Does this mean we may see you runnin between some Supair bunkers instead of trees...

Kaff...

the juniors are great value for money and will feed as fast as you'll need. If the neck is a little too phat that is good, just give it a little sand for a snug fit. Check out the for sale threads too, you might be able to pick up something second hand

Will be getting one of those clamping feed necks from Action straight away, I've read a fair bit about hoppers falling off Ions etc.

Could be a possibility Kaff :P I want a little more firepower and something I can walk onto a supair field with if I need to :)

Cheers for your help guys

The pulse far outweighs any hopper out there, and is cheaper than a reloader B2, which are a tops loader and IMO 2nd to the pulse... Eggs break constantly and easily, Halos are ok but I personally had problems with mine and sent it back... when it worked it worked relatively well... Velocities are pretty good and hold heaps, but are a massive hog on batteries.

Go the pulse, it won't break (unless a particular player overtightens the feedneck) and it'll load faster than your Ion can shoot.

Decided to go the VLocity Jnr due to price and availability, Action doesn't have any Pulses that I can find and I cbf looking any further :P as for the VL chewing batteries.. I have a nitro RC truck and an electric RC roadcar.. so I'm used to going through a LOT of batteries :P

Flip at Geelong Extreme and James @ Macdev both sell pulses, I think Infinitypaintball does too. when you use one you'll never turn back :)

When I get a marker worthy of one, I will probably get one :) but the VL jnr should more than suffice for the Ion.. and you might have missed the part about blowing up my gearbox ;)
