Greetings to all,

A quick intro and to say hello to everyone.

Having just moved from South Africa, i am still trying to get legit on the local scene, seems there is a maze of legislative requirements that I need to complete, to get myself back in the marking business.

I started playing in the '80s when the locals only had hand splatties, and safety goggles, and have been hooked ever since. My first marker was an "armson" semi with expansion and passive sights. a good all rounder tho slow in the rates. I also got a pump action armson later, to suit fields with low cycle rate rules, and have played this the most in bush scenes, hence the nick.

Hopefully, once I get settled i will be able to rejoin the game.

Thanks for reading this and feel free to comment. To all those that I'll be shooting in the future, let me take the oppertunity now to appologise, and hope the bruising doesnt hurt too much!!:respekt:

Welcome to Oz, and welcome back to the Paintball scene!

It is really refreshing to see someone who has been in the game for so long!

Get back into it at your earliest opportunity. You know you want to.:evil

Post up regularly mate, tell us all how you're doin, and feel free to contribute any opinions you feel are warranted. It is always good to have a player involved in these forums who can offer a point of view that is tempered by vast experience and a long time spent in the game.

Again, welcome mate, have fun, and lend us your wisdom regularly.

I think the closest field to you is Dannys Ballan field. See www.paintballgames.com.au Its massive with heaps of scenarios

Not sure if the outdoor fields are fully catering for team play but i'm sure they will be soon enough if they aren't yet. We use to make a deal with the outdoor fields to let us play there with our own paint and HPA tanks in return for running social days every now and then to bring our networks down at normal rates. A pretty good arrangment and worth approaching them about.

The only club in Vic the caters for everything is Neils PPC club - see above.

There is some great gear for recball / bushball now but unfortunately our federal and state laws are very strict on military looking paintball guns - they are basically not allowed. You can get some stuff though.

Feel free to come and see us during a members club session also

Happy hunting!!

Hi guys,

thanks for all the help, esp from Neil.
I have made plans to take the safety course, and also join PPc for membership.
Once this is done, i can then apply for my licence to own and then the import permit so that i can bring my gear in, after that, well, the rest is easy.
Hope to one day meet, and play all you blokes, should be a "blast"?!!!
Many thanks
