View Full Version : Custom battery packs.
Anyone interested in a custom rechargeable NiMH battery pack (2500mah) for reloader B/Halo?
Would be similar to the Bone pack (google it) true 9.6v rechargeable pack without  :)
Have enquired into getting some cells made up, they're about $25 for the pack, the charger however is a little more expensive, around $110 (proper NiMH/NiCad charger, 1 - 14 cells 1-12 volt all safety shutoffs, reverse polarity protection etc...)
I have yet to fit or test either, but I was informed that the price would be lower the more that was purchased (group buy).
I would like to get an idea if anyone would be interested and would purchase a setup (perhaps share the cost of a charger over your team?).
Will have some more details up when I do some tests.

Yeah I'm keen to stop having to go to bilo before every training session...
Our whole team runs Halos, so I'm pretty sure there would be interest there...I'll ask the guys on Sunday.
But put my bro(Plucka) and I down for at least one pack each.

Speak to Adamage, he has beaten you to it. He has made some for our Halo's and they work a treat. Its been 5 weeks now, 3 trainings and a tournament and I havent touched the battery yet and she's still full of power. Never thought I would see the day.
Thats what I'm after. I 'll pm him and ask him about the details. Thread still open to anyone else who is interested in one

hel yer im interested im soo sick of having 2 go 2 bilo every tourney wasting money on batteries ...but who is cheaper adam or ren??
I just spoke to Ad's, he says he only made a nine volt connection (2 9 volts), unless he doesnt want to give away his secret :).
Went to batt store today, found cheaper charger, but more expensive pack, go figure. Will shop around, he told me if we buy in bulk they'll go down in price. Either way your gonna save $$$ over time.

Im keen to find out about prices but im more interested to find out if Ren's ok !
Dont like hors-piddals much.
i'll be all good hopefully in a few days. I'll get a better idea what these things will be worth this week hopefully. I want to purchase and test one myself before I provide/sell any to anyone else. I've already checked sizing and it will fit good, perhaps the battery door will need to be shaved slightly on the inside, but most likely not. I might also work on a setup that allows you to charge your hopper (ie charge port in the side/bottom) without removing the batteries.

Hello Ren,
Found this and thought I'd drop you line. If you are interested in buying 5-10 Bone kits for your team, I could make it worth your while and save you some money. If not, then good luck with your packs. Check the new web site. LMK.
Thanks,
Matt :D
