Hey all.
I know I'm new here, very new in fact, but the first thing I noticed when I registered here was that there were no forum sections for states/cities/regions. I know there may be threads out there for people from certain areas to post in but I think the current layout makes it harder for everyone to get to know everyone in their local paintball community.

I'm just suggesting that the forum owners/admins consider creating forum sub-categories for players from Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, NT, Hobart, Brisbane etc...forum sub-cat's so the locals can post threads amongst their own community, get to know each other etc...can certainly help to organise matches without "spamming" the forums (ie: people from outside the region don't read it).

I know it's certainly not a necessary change, but just an idea...and most likely one that has come up in the past.

PS: I understand I'll most likely be instantly judged by either my post count or reg date (more often both) but understand I'm not some paintballer n00b coming in making idiot suggestions. Cheers.

Fair comment. Not a bad idea, however some people travel to tournaments (like SA teams for instance) and its good to see what tournaments are on at a glance instead of having to check numerous forums.

I would only go as far as showing what state a person lives in as I know whole teams that travel and some players that play all over the place that would get rather annoyed to be left out.

I think Aust paintball needs to grow a bit before state forums.

Your also inviting the idiot factor for an out of stater to spam the hell out of your section.

So it's a good idea but I think a bit early to make real.

Fair comments from both of you.
Although Wiggs, the idea was for people to post recreational events for buddies not just tornaments.
I understand that the site is pretty small compared to a lot of forums so I guess we should just wait and see.

I'd love to know who is in WA without starting a n00bish spam thread asking for "all WA people to call in" ;)

Maybe not just have it for organising games, but also social events as well- friday night drinks at the local pub or an evening of thud and blunder movies.. like some of the US pb dvds ;)

state/regional forums can certainly be done if there is a demand for it.
What we dont want is a bunch of forums with only 5 or 10 posts in each.

We could add couple to see how they go I spose.
What would be the most popular?
WA and North QLD?
and just have these for Rec Ball?

Sounds good Bill.
I guess we'll just wait for the member numbers to expand :)
