I need the instruction manual for servicing a smart parts max flo 68/4500 psi Inline Regulator anyone that can help would be great and yes i have already checked smart parts website it doesnt seem to ahve an links that help thank you very much.

The things is that when it is turn off, air still comes out, so the on/off doesnt work

Mate u just need to replace one or mabey both orings in the on off.

I took it apart and put it back together, still air still comes out, when turn off,

help, please?

most likely the small o-ring in the block of the reg, not actually around the on-off shaft. You'll need a small allen key or a pick of some sort.


Get the on-off shaft out, look straight down the hole and on the side closest to the bottle near the bottom of the hole you will see a small o-ring. Pull that o-ring out, and if there's a little nick taken out of it, thats your problem. You can get away with rotating it rather than replacing it if you get stuck: if you don't have a replacement o-ring, rotating it 180 degrees before re-seating should fix the problem.


I find the usual cause of this is opening the on-off when your tank is pressurized and the reg is not connected to your marker. These o-rings get chewed pretty quickly by doing this.
