Thanks.....noms and paint are being worked out noms is expected to be between 750-850 per team and paint is being negotiated as for the AXL demo I will endeavour to find some volunteers for a quick demo match either before or after the tourney.....santa fe gold......only if i get free entry too!!!:lol:

Well you will be glad to know that we have a few different setups to go with this year but ultimately what council and weapons licensing want will win in the end.......but if we can make it a little more comfy to play under then all is good:thumbsup:

from all the positive feed back we heard from last years first event, how many team are you looking to accomadate....???. Some of the players that attended said it could be down unda's version of HB......

Wel hopefully we are looking at a maximum of 26 teams this year and in future yes it should be the OZ answer to HB......next year the plan is to try for TWO fields but depends on numbers this year!!!!:lol:

At this stage no one has paid any money yet so no places are just being pencilled in but we should have around 7-8 local teams plus 2-4 state teams and 2-3 interstate teams thats at this stage.......so hoping it should be an awesome event...first year got it started so lets keep the momentum up and support the event because all proceeds go back into the event and to charity:clap:

After much back stabbing, whinging, bitching and moaning, i have been told that another "commitee" has taken over all developements to do with strand park, as such there will be no strand park organised by myself this or any other subsequent year:cry:
The council has been informed that i no longer wish to deal with everything associated with developing this fantastic event into one of the forerunning events for australia. I do apologise for getting hopes up and then bringing them down.
Maybe one day people will stop stabbing people in the back who think of these type of ideas to create such events for the sport!!!

Have just read all the shit that has bean put on bill’s about this so called coo all you people out there need to know that the NQPPA was involved in the strand park from the start and that without the NQPPA the tourney would not have gone ahead . we hade to give our commitment to Townsville Paintball that we would be involved and help superstar before they would back the event wear do you think the money came from not superstar he was just mouthpiece . The fact that Townsville Paintball came to us at the last meeting and ask us to run this event again but with out superstar . So this shit about knives in the back and wingers are well just wrong. His employer as he has stated on his signature Townsville Paintball no longer wish he to be involved and as they are the ones how payed for the tourney last time don’t you think they have the right to fire him if the like.
Just to put every body strait the strand park tournament will be organised by a committee of representatives from Townsville Paintball , Cairns Paintball , battel filed gaming zone and the NQPPA. With this support the event will be bigger and better than last year .

There have been a lot of issues finically and ethically concerning superstar about the running of the last tourney but we have keep this out of the public eye. As all this bickering is bad for the sport and the only way this event won’t go ahead is with comments and action like this.:thumbsdow
The NQPPA have been running 4 tournaments a year for the last 4 years and if you talk to anybody that attended any of them you will see that they are run professionally and to date we have hade no complaints. so the statement that the council is undecided is rubbish
This is a local mater and should be handled as such pleas for the good of the game this bickering has got to stop on public forums if anybody wants to reply with negativity pleas do it by PM’s

Reffs inc was even going to subsidise the reffs so that the tourny promoter would'nt have to pay full price.
And then i get a phone call from Cliffy asking me what my invovlment is and that it is no longer needed.

As for Rocky i was only offering some financial assistance to teams that wanted to go to both tourny's, not to try and kybosh the tourny that you guys put on.
I did this for the benefit of paintball which has got me where i am today not just for some financial gain.
Just like Strand 05 i gave my airfare money back to the running costs and paid for Jills airfare and accomadation.
What is wrong with you guys up there.

The matter at hand ethicly is a matter for the council and the police and despite what some people have said and implied i have no involvement with this, as for money i put my money and time into this project and also lost out of the deal. But i was there into the pouring rain with everyone else was the first to start and the last to leave. Good luck with organising this event and when townsville paintball finally decide to tell me that im fired then so be it!!!

The series was listed as a NQPPA series because it had to be listed as something, and strangely enough when i was looking at forming a commitee at the end of last \ beginning of this year no NQPPA member wanted to be involved with the organisation of this event, because you all just wanted to play?:thumbsdow But after all the back stabbing and lies, usually the people who do it too me have a spine and told me to my face!!:fu:

Yes I was there at that meeting that only 4 people(3people + Me) turned up to. Asked them all if the NQPPA would like to be part of the strand commitee & we all said no, we would like to come & just play.
But at that time we were all still sour.

No such thing has been passed around by anyone. and if you have issues turn up to a meeting and voice them. Instead of ranting and raving on the ####en net. For #### sake eddie paintball is suppose to be fun and all this shit from strand is starting to get political. We want to have a decent tournie in our back yard and like i said " you done well getting it going" but you went about it the wrong way I.E. barrel condoms, stuff organised by other people that took weeks to be returned, shit like that. If you expect people to help you and back you, dont burn them. I used alot of favor for the strand tournie and with things taking so long to be returned to them they are pissed, is that what you want the businesses and charities from townsville to think about when they hear the word paintball.

With that big events can only go a head when when a number of people get involved not one thinking he can handle all by himself.

I'm not going to keep going on with this mate, No one is spreading rumours about you. You done well with getting 2005 paintball in the park off the ground, but a committee should have been formed not one person keeping things from other people with the comments " she'll be right".
