I've put together a full FAQ regarding questions that have been frequently asked on the forums to clear up some matters. The list may have some answers you've posted in other threads so thank you to everyone that has helped with questions, I do not wish to take full credit. :respekt:
Anything missing or looks wrong, chuck me a PM.

Licencing
i. Safety Training
It is a requirement by law that you do a Firearm Safety Course for Cateogry A before you can purchase your firearms licence.
One place I recommend is National Security Training (07) 3865 2866 -
http://www.securitytraining.net/
Cost $75.00 For Categories A, B & H Firearm Safety Course.
ii. Application for Firearms Licence.
Form 1 is your Firearms Licence Application Form:
http://www.police.qld.gov.au/Resources/Internet/programs/weaponsLicensing/documents/Form%201%20App%20for%20a%20Licence2.pdf
The application itself will cost you $32.55 and the firearms licence will cost you $53.75 which is a 5 year licence.
You need a genuine reason for having a licence and therefore you will need a letter from a field owner stating that you are a regular player. Most fields require you to become a member at their field in order for you to gain a letter.
Form Questions
Question 1. - Class of Licence
Tick: Firearms (Long Arms)
Question 10. - Genuine Reason
Tick: Sports or Target Shooting*
* Don't forget to include that field letter
Send the form to your local police station and endure your 28 day waiting period for your licence.
iii. The licence types/conditions I need
In order to purchase a paintball marker you need a Category A licence with PB1 Conditions or interstate equivalent.
If you have a firearms licence but isn't Cat. A then you will need to start from scratch and fill out the forms below.
iv. Changing conditions on firearms licence
You are required to fill out a Form 4B for changes to your weapon categories or conditions (to include PB1).
http://www.police.qld.gov.au/Resources/Internet/programs/weaponsLicensing/documents/Form%204B%20Change%20of%20Weapons%20Cat%20etc2.pdf
NOTE: If you have a licence already but not PB1 condition, you are still required to have a field letter.
Form 4A is an application of change of address, Name, Weapons Storage Facility -
http://www.police.qld.gov.au/Resources/Internet/programs/weaponsLicensing/documents/Form%204A%20Change%20of%20Name%20Address%20etc2.pd f
Both of these forms do not carry any fees or charges unless you are adding a new category to your licence. Changes take approximately 8 days.
v. Interstate licences
Can I purchase a paintball gun on an interstate licence?
Yes, so long as the the conditions are equivalent to Qld conditions.
How does travelling to Queensland affect my licence?
Best answer would be here -
http://www.police.qld.gov.au/programs/weaponsLicensing/visit/
vi. Legislation
In Queensland, possessing a firearms licence means you are bound to the Weapons Act 1990. If you are interested in reading about the laws, you can view the legislation here - http://www.legislation.qld.gov.au/LEGISLTN/CURRENT/W/WeaponsA90.pdf
vii. Minor licences (Regarding those under 18)
Am I eligable for a firearms licence/purchase of paintball gun?
Yes and No. Whilst you are allowed to hold a Minors licence, as a condition on the licence, you are not allowed to purchase any gun until you are 18.
What should I do if I want my own marker?
If you are still keen on getting your own marker, you should find a trustworthy person who will put the marker in their name. The only problem with that is the licenced person has to be with you at all times and you can't take it home.
Purchasing your paintball marker
i. Permit to Acquire Form (PTA)
In order to get your paintball marker, you are required to send an approval form to Weapons Licencing. Head down to your local police station and ask for a copy, then enter the following details into the form -
Type: A
Action: Air
Calibre: .68
Mag Cap: 40+
Now if you know the make and model put it on if you don't, well don't. (Thanks to Big Gav for this information)
The PTA form will cost you $22.20 and there is a minimum 28 day waiting period before you receive your approval which looks like this (Thanks to Pyro):
http://www.billspaintball.com/vb3/attachment.php?attachmentid=8055&d=1127975650
Once you have that, order your marker and take your PTA to the dealership to sign all the relevant stuff.
ii. Purchasing your marker interstate
When you purchase markers interstate, you have to send the marker to a dealer in Queensland so that the PTA can be issued and serials are tracked, etc.
iii. Purchasing your marker overseas
Importing paintball markers (also called skirmish paint guns) is
restricted under the Customs (Prohibited Imports) Regulations
1956. Only dealers with B709A can ship markers from overseas.
For more information see Customs Laws regarding Paintball -
http://www.customs.gov.au/webdata/resources/files/ImportingPaintballMarkers.pdf
iv. Purchasing Military Replica markers
Paintball markers that resemble a sub-machine gun, an
assault rifle, a machine gun, machine pistol or automatic handgun
cannot be imported/sold.
However there are some pretty clever people that have turned their Tippmann A5's into military replica's (get pup to show you his A5 pictures if you are interested).
For more information see Customs Laws regarding Paintball -
http://www.customs.gov.au/webdata/resources/files/Importing_paintball_markers1.pdf
Storage Facility
i. Legal requirements
A new amendment to the Weapons Act 1990 (only applies to new licence holders) requires you to have your own storage facility even if you have no weapons.
Your storage Facility must meet these guidelines -
The Container must be a rigid structure made of solid steel or timber and if it weighs less than 150kg, be securely fixed to the frame or floor of a permanent building.
The container also must have a sturdy lock and be kept locked when the weapon is not in use.
ii. Travelling with your marker in the car
When transporting your marker, it must be made inoperable, ie. removing gas, barrel, hopper, etc.
The marker must be carried in a locked metal container and has to be affixed to the vehicle (ie. chaining it) and kept covered away from public view at all times until reaching the field.
iii. Travelling with your marker in the plane
Put your marker in a locked container. Delcare it at checkin. It will be transported with the other special baggage, then you sign for it and pick it up at the special baggage desk when you arrive at your destination.
Make sure the gun is disassembled and make sure the cylinder is empty (important one).
(Thanks to Deadeye, BJM, Ticker for this one)
Laws regarding Paintball Guns
i. Sizing
Minimum length of a Paintball Marker is 75cm.
ii. Paintball Handguns
All paintball handguns are illegal in Queensland. Having a category H licence has nothing to do with paintball handguns. All paintball markers are categorised under A, and the reason why they are illegal is because they do not size to 75cm in length.
iii. Military Replicas
See - Purchasing your paintball marker (iv)
iv. Useful sites for information
