does anyone know if they are legal in QLD, and do you need a permit to get them into the country, ive been doing some searching and i even gave customs a call on Monday, and still havent heard back from them

i know im gonna get drilled by the tourny players about why i want one, personal preference and i want one for the 12hr game coming up,

so if anyone knows about the legalities of them, please let me know, will be much appericated

shouldn't have a problem with it.

-as far as i can tell -the realism law means nothing - i know a couple of police who were mighty impressed with markers with stocks

i think the only big no-no is the folding stocks - because it denotes 'assault' weaponry - whatever that means....

hell -if you have problems -say its a handle for a toolbox or something... essentially it is just a metal handle...

yeah i have seen them on markers just want to make sure, heres whats been happening, customs tells me to goto the cops, cops tell me to goto weapons licencing, weapons licencing says goto customs or the cops,

ring a ring a rosey.................

called customs again and they said they will get back to me in a few days

I used to run an offset sightrail on a Defiant. I thought they were great, and I was using it for tournament paintball.

Gavin made it.

If I could mount a red dot on a DM4, I'd probably still be using it.

just an update, sent customs an email with a link of the lapco offset rail, they said it wasnt a customs issue, so i took the gamble and got it sent to me, its now attached to my marker with a red dot hanging it off it,

so if any other rec ballers are looking at getting one, go for it, im a lefty so just had to modify the site itself a lil but if your right handed go for it, u cant lose

sounds good, I need an offset rail so I can attach a small torch to my gun for all these night games. No fun finding ur way back to HQ in the dark. Other option is to sticky tape it!

and rail is made specifically for the A5 mount, im sure there are ones out there for the ion, especially with special ops doing a long bow kit for them, the rail cost me $60 but thats cos i bought it off trademe.co.nz, so the price was a little marked up but hey i wanted it for the 12hr game this weekend, they retail around $20 or 30 bucks US
