Presently running a Gen 2 Cyborg with a Preset on/off 4500 tank. All the operating pressures are normail, but for one hopper load and a pod it uses 2000psi worth of air. This i am sure cannot be right.

Does anyone have any idea why the air usage is so high,. and any ideas how to fix it?

what's the glad set at and have you tested the LPR, if so what's its pressure running at?

Could be your gauge is stuffed too. That's an insane amount of air for so little paint. Set the Glad to 200psi or just over, then use a ram gauge to see what you're running at, like SB just said. Either it's the gauge, or you need to replace some seals...big time.
This is a good way to set your velocity too kiddies, for maximum effiency. Use the Glad to chrono, not the LPR. Only use the LPR at the chrono in an emergency.

The output pressure on the bottle is 400, the input on the toy is 200, these are normal pressures.

Adjusting the Gladiator reg or the Ram i have no idea how to do, could ya explain it in idiot terms for me!

For massive air consumption like that I think it may be a little more than just setting the operating pressures correctly.
I have seen this happen before and is usually caused by the valve stem coming unscrewed from the cup seal, an easy fix if your mechanically inclined but if not...you may want to find someone who knows about 'borgs (loads of people know about them locally).
If its the problem Im describing then you need to strip the lpr off and take the spring and valve stem out, retighten the stem onto the cup seal arrangement and reassemble it and the spring and reg back into the gun.
One thing I like about the cyborgs, easy to strip and repair such problems....some markers this would be a major muck about but on a borg, should take about 5 minutes.

New question-Once the air tank reaches 1000 psi, the velocity drops right off and the rounds go about 6 feet----is this a reg problem or a tank problem?

check the lpr.....

Without sounding like a Joombie, Borgy what am i looking for/doing to the LPR?

Taking it out, cleaning it then relubing it. The LPR I mean:o
Use a ram gauge to reset it for optimum efficiency and operating pressure, 70psi to 85psi from memory. Leave it once it's set then use the Glad to chrono.

sounds like you have a shoot down problem with your tank this is a common problem with pue energy tanks and bulldogs.

if your cocking pressure is to high you can use a lot of gas, this is caused by a crushed subplate gasket (no longer in the 06).

the lpr is the reg underneath the barrel!

best off letting muzza take a loom at it for you and get him to explain how it works and what to do if you get a problem.
