I want to thank Swat and Apocalypse for coming down for the Charity Day held at Predator Paintball on Saturday 10th September. The teams entered were mainly newbies who were keen to have a go at paintball and the support they got from the Action teams made them leave at the end of the day bubbling over with excitement. :respekt:
This event will have helped paintball in the area gain more respect as a sport instead of being percieved as "Bushball army wannabe's". (to quote one ladys comments on paintball when the radio station was talking about Paintball and the Charity Day)
The day has also helped raise alot of money to help a very worthwhile cause, the ACT Eden Monaro Cancer Support Group

Thanks to everyone who helped out on the day, volunteering their time to help make day a success. Your efforts on the day dispite the crappy weather were extreemly appreciated.

Also thanks to Paintballshop.com.au for supplying some of the prizes and Sothern Commercial Divers for supplying the air for players with their own markers. :respekt:

Hopefully next time we run something like this, we will have better weather and more teams. 14 teams was pretty good considering its the first time we have ever tried to hold a tourney like this

I'd like to say a big thankyou to Action Paintball Games for all their support, advice and inspiration, Southern Commercial Divers for 4500psi air (for a rec tourney!!), the Wig n Pen Tavern Canberra, the 221 Degrees Bakery (Hughes Shops, Canberra), Club X Canberra, and http://www.paintballshop.com.au for the prizes.

Thanks to SWAT (1st) and Apocalyse (2nd) for attending and donating their prizes to the amateur teams. Some of the amateur teams enjoyed themselves so much that they are now interested in coming up to the Masters...

The day was a great advertisement for tournament paintball starved Canberra. Unfortunately, the weather conspired against us and it rained, heavily, all day.

Thanks to all my referees and support staff. For our first tourney you all excelled yourselves.

And the biggest thankyou of all goes to Benno for putting in endless hours organising the day. Well done mate! :respekt:

A top fun days was had by all. Big kudos goes to Benno and Zoran and all the crew! :respekt: :respekt:

We had a blast, I do not remember having so much fun at a tourny for a while. I am pretty sure we broke nearly every rule with Apocolypse.

By the way Hardcore, it was me that shot you in the back while you were cowering behind that fort.

Not a bad 50 metre snap shot with a 10 year old mag :D

hehehehehehehe

Yeah, once you get used to playing with electro markers, its hard to go back to playing with mech. markers.
