i found this on the web and was wondering if anybody had tried it.
EMPIRE ONLY (Puerto Rican Mod) *Modified*
I recently made and TESTED the 1st EMPIRE RELOADER B (sound activated board)
with a modified version of the PR mod....
i took a standard Empire Reloader B, on the upper left corner, connected a black wire to the upper (1st) hole and a red to the one directly below it...
i then soldered a switch to the black wire and connected the base of the switch to a red LED (has to be red, not blue)
i connected the red wire to the long side of the LED and the switch wire to the shorter side of the LED...
instead of bypassing the voltage to the motor, i made the motor think its only getting 6v, and it still gets 9v...
to make hopper faster, you simply hold in the mod button, turn on the loader, wait untill the STOCK LED turns orange, then release the Mod button....
the motor will think its running on 6vm but it will have more power from the 9v pack...
The red LED connected like this, makes the IC chip logic THINK the board has 6volts, INSTEAD of the 9 volt pack and changes the led to orange after the initial setup (1-3 blinks for settings) and then allows the motor to be bypassed into a faster mode.
to activate this, the switch must be connected (on) , then the hopper turned on.
you hold in the mod switch untill you see the orange light in the back plate, and then release the mod switch (i used a PBNO switch) but a sliding on/off will work, dont use a click on / off button.
The mod, once turned on, is not permenent, so if you turn it off and without holding the switch, turn it back on, the loader will boot up with the stock 1-3 settings. the mod eliminates the 1-3 settings, and is always fast.
i have tested this w/ standard red 5mm LED's and a 10 mm ultra bright LED, both seem to work. the ultra one is rated 3.7v. i know blue LED's WONT work, they dont draw enough voltage / amperage...

Do you think it is wort trying?
