hey guys, i jsut found out i have to be 18 to be licenced to own a marker im only 17 now so i have plenty of time to save for a mad marker.

im jsut wondering is it worth forking out the extras cash for an electronic trigger for example and e-grip on the A-5. i figured the reason electronic triggers were used on markers is to make them full auto and this is illegal in australia so what advantages do they have?

are they jsut easyer to pull quicker or something?

An e-grip lets you shoot in different modes (eg. full auto, 3 burst)so you will be able to shoot faster than just pulling the trigger but as you know they're illegal and Aus so...yeah.

You got it. Easier on your fingers therefore making it possible to pull the trigger faster.

a responce trigger fires on pull and release, meaning more then one shot per trigger pull and therefore illegal, sorry mate. Just learn to shoot faster on your own

Just ask Steve abour response triggers, he is the master.

On topic. I think you can still get e-grips without modes. Try contacting some of the sites here and see if they can get you one. Try Platinum Paintball in my sig or maybe Action.

ok thanks, what are the triggers called that when u put the right amount of pressure on them they move back and farward by themselves by tapping off the gas?

illegal. suckyness personified.

Dude. If i were in your position i would scrap the A5 and save up for a shocker and if that is too expensive go for something like an ion. Yeah the A5 might be a neat gun for shootin ya mates on a bush field, but when it comes to tournies it probably wouldn't cut it. Have a look at what markers other guys are using and let that shape what you want to get. This is my opinion anyway

yeah but thats the thing, for the next year or so all i see myself doing is shooting my mates in the bush, im probably going to get flamed here but i actually prefer bush and senario games :P

Hi Kempe you should hook up with LOGAN I have just setup him and his mates with A-5's and all the extra gear you are talking about, then you will be able to try it out if you ask them nicely.

asking about Tippmann A-5 triggers
What can i use ...legally... in qld to get a better rate of fire.
Response triggers.. because there shot 1 round for each pull and 1 round for each release of the trigger are illegal ..right?
E-grip.. is legal providing that you don't set it to 3 shot busrt of full auto.. only semi auto.

so what are my options
1 working my finger quicker
2 e grip.. what rate of fire can u "normally" get out of one? or
3 egrip with double triggers...
are there any other options to get a fster rate of fire out of a a-5?

Hey mate -

Why not look at getting an electronic marker instead?
An Ion is a decent gun for the money, has all the MILSIM gear that someone would want, and is probably just as reliable as an A5...

That way if youever decide on playing tourney as well, you can rip all the MILSIM stuff off, and be left with an adequate speedball gun too.

Two birds with one stone.

If ya want rate of fire dude, you're gonna have to go for an electro.

I wouldn't rate an Ion as anywhere near as reliable as an A5, but again, if you want rate of fire, then go an electro.
If you've already got the A5, then contact Action about triggers. The E-Grip will assist you in acheiveing a higher rate of fire, but it won't stack up to an electro.

God, I feel so dirty suggesting going for an electro!
I too much of a hardcore bushy!!!:hammer:

I own an Ion and an A5 but I didn't buy the A5 for high fire rates, I got it for it's milsim goodness and sometimes it's just fun having a big clunker thumping away in your arms! My Ion has been super reliable until I changed the bolt, fine now with the stock one back in. Ion is becoming my primary bushball marker and backup tourny marker with the A5 involved in a serious project and the Timmy going to make way for a new etek as the primary tourny marker :D

horses for courses really :)

I guess you got to ask yourself if you need a gun for looks or a gun for speed and what you use it for as others have mentioned.
I've got a decked out BlackCell Ion and it's fast enough for me. Got the looks and has enough speed...so best of both worlds.

Response trigger/full auto E-Grips...
It's a dumb-ass law but I guess the law is the law. But who really cares if you can fire full auto or not...? :thumbsdow
Maybe they had their heads up where the sun don't shine when they were writing the legislation for paintball markers...

And my goodness Bubba...more guns...didn't you just get your Timmy?

Timmy was actually for a mate, he should have his license in a fortnight so the timmy will be off my license making room for the etek :)

thanks for all your advice guys.

I already have an a-5 so i will be sticking with it.
but i did spend some time looking at the ions. Right now i just prefer a simple mechinal marker. I might up it to an e grip later, but right now will just spend some time practicing to start getting my shots to count.

Got a friend who is interested in starting and might suggest going an ion to him.
