HI ACC1
Me speaking, no Rob has'nt been to the newcastle field Rob is from WA and he is a friend of mine and he is supporting me thx rob.
M8 the ryhope field is 5-8 minutes drive west from the shops at Toronto we are at the Toronto exit on the Freeway.
At the moment we have 3 playing fields playable at the moment (thx bush fire brigade), we play anywhere up to 9-11 games in the day with lunch included. We supply clean and tidy up to date (semi-auto) gear (ladies free extra saftey equipment), and make sure you have an enjoyable day.
We r a bit dearer than Kulnura.
Now the Kulnura Field 30 minutes south from toronto exit i feel is not into Bills so i will give u a brief run down on them.
They have a good facillity (barricade orientated), they have up todate gear and equipment not sure if they have all semi's.
They have the BEST lunch out of any paintball field in OZ trust me i know, and there reffs are not to bad.
Now there is HUNTER VALLEY PAINTBALL they are at Raymond Terrace on the North Side they have up todate gear and equipment, bush and barricade fields and Timmy Miller is not a bad bloke, and a bit cheaper in prices than Me.
BUT if u really want to came to an ATMOSPHERIC Paintball Field come to the MT WHITE Field 40 Minutes south from Toronto exit and you will plesently be surprised .
me
thats a bit better  lol. just trying to pick 1 to play at. most likley september. havent played personaly at any fields yet but my dad has been to kulnura 2-3 times with his work and it seemed to be pretty good. so thats why its most likely the 1 we would choose as we dont know anything about the other fields except from there websites.
and im guessing rental fields only use single triggers on the semi auto's right?
( just checking )
so why is it that you have only 3 fields? you usualy have more?

from my personal experience (6yrs joombie-3yrs competative) every field has something different to offer dont go to a field jus cos its the cheapest try them all if your serious and want to compete you will definately benefit from the experiences and give yourself a better knowledge for the long run
jus my $1.50 worth :whip: :evil
yes well at the moment im not just going for the cheapest but my dads been there. thats why its our most likley choice. next year i will possibly play again at a different field to compare them.

Once you give it a go, you will be hooked and will have to get a job to support the habbit. Well, that happened to me. (Wife hates paintball.)

don't forget to buy yourself a cricket box.
Rainman
16-07-2005, 08:59 PM
cricket boxes are made of hard plastic, that don't give very good freedom for the jewels.Pay the extra and get some DYE or PROTO slide shorts that have built in SOFT groin protection, that may even give you the odd bounce too!!!!!
You get hit on a cricket box, and you are guarranteed a break, and outta the game.
haha a cricket box. lol well. i dont know if ill actualy need jewel protection if im only playing like a day with mostly noobs. i mean. as long as im not rock hard and peeking around corners my johnson shouldnt take to many hits LOL
i think ill just got thin running shorts with thin muscle t shirt n take it like a man lol ! lots of freedom to with these type sporty clothes. then ill have the overalls over top.
when i was there 2 day watching i saw a guy around 45 trying to get into his overalls with full jean pants and a full hooded jumper lol!! and his mates were laughing at him caz he had so much clothes on. he coulndt fit overals over the jumper so he took it off but left his thick jeans on lol
ive seen a guy with a wetsuit on underneath his overalls. it was a 35 degree day, didnt have it on for long.
lol. some people must be REALLY afraid of getting hit lol. i cant wait to play.
the count begins
17th Sept

haha... my first time playing pb i wore a cricket box to top gun. i didnt get hit there at all even though i wore it on the outside to make it an obvious target... however an unamed friend ( he posts on bills ) got hit in the penis and thought it was me :-) he got angry and came up to me pointing his marker at my crotchal region. :whip:
Take it like a man, after all, "purple pecker" goes away in a few days.

I personally have played at both , both have their ups and downs. Ryhope is more bush orientated where Kulnura has more barricade fields but they still have a few bush fields as well. Listen to Pete as well it is the best lunch you will get at any field bar none!!!!!!!! Spend the extra time on the freeway and go to Kulnura the lunch alone is worth it!!! Hope to see you there.
going to kulnura in september :) first time. looking foward to it.

I played there about 5 years ago and I remember the lunch being awesome!
The tower on the shadecloth field was good fun too.
lol i arived to spectate with parents when they were eating lunch. smells good. my dads also been there 2x in the last 2 years with his work.(50-60 players) and he said the lunch is very good. cant wait. very excited. going in september.
any tips on the fields if any1 has been there recently? ;) hiding spots etc? lol

Yeh a few good hiding spots on all. But that is our secret ha ha. Just rebuilt drums field too so a little bit more challenging now ha ha. Another new filed coming soon as well nut you will have to wait and see when it is built.
see you there what date by the way??
so far 17th i think.
do you practise there?
oh and i also spectated the drums field aboout 3 weeks ago when i was there to see what the place is like :)
Hey all,
do any of these fields around newcastle do tournaments?? is it cheaper to play if i have on equipment? If i buy paintballs off u guys can i bring them back if i dont use them all?? i live in Newcastle and am looking for a local field to start playing some more. Will be back in AUS and setup by april 06, so im putting in some research on where to start. Would be good to find some enthusiasts around newy rather then driving to sydney for my fix.
Cheers
Moad.

hi moad,
im from newcastle as well, unfortunately not much tourney action here.
newy fields aren't set up for tourney play.
they are really catering for the weekend players that love to bash around the bush.
'Paintball Petes' at Mt White is the closest field to newcastle that has a
'Sup Air Ball' paintball field for tournament players.
it is worth the little extra time driving to play/train on this course.
Pete has 2 teams that train here fortnightly on sundays and weekly when a comp is approaching.
pm Pete or myself if you have any questions.
hope this helps.
