Does anyone know the max voltage for a reloader b board? I can get 3.6v batteries from work that are the same size as AA's. I'm too tight to try it myself incase I kill my reloader.

I think you will fry your board. Even using the 4 battery holder you will have over 14 volts.
The best thing to do would be to put a resistor in the battery wires that cuts it down to 9 volts. That way you will have plenty of reserve power and they will last for ages.

nah, don't use a resistor - it'll get red hot and burn up.. you could use a voltage reg.. but again, it'll get red hot.. ( and it's a plastic hopper.. ) so I wouldn't try.. you'll burn a hole through it..

do these batteries have solder tabs ?

if they don't - and if you're a skilled solderer.. you can solder a wire to the top of each battery.. and the bottom of each..

if you join all the +ve's together.. then, join all the -ve's together - then connect the +ve lead to the +ve line on the hopper - and the -ve from all batteries to the -ve on the hopper..

Your voltage will still be the same, but your amperage rating will be huge..

but, without knowing more detail about the cell's - I'd take it all at face value.. ;)

you would still have to do a series circuit to get the voltage upto 9 volts. I heard of people using 3 9volt batteries in a egg to get some serious speed out of them and was wondering if it was possible to do it the reloader. Guess it will remain a mystery.

the reloader is a fast enough hopper n e way!
and for the price of one i wouldnt want to f*** with it too much!

Yeah, I agree with you there on the voltage and speed thing.. I wouldnt pump any more volt's through it than it absolutely needs.. mine is hella fast - STOCK !

I was talking about increasing the available amperage, not the voltage.

I might go to the RC shop here in Perth tomorrow.. take it in and see if they can recommend some suitable cells..

I can get sanyo cells with a solder tab for a reasonable price and make a kickass battery pack.. that should last for AGES !

I know there's a few guys on here that are RC nuts, maybe they can help out on this one ? ;) ( leith ? )
