Predator Paintball charity day

Predator Paintball near Canberra is holding a charity day on the 10th September 2005 to raise money for the Eden Monaro Cancer Support Group. Places are limited to 24, 7 man teams and it will be a restricted tourney - mechanical markers only and restrictions on paint - only allowed to carry on the field what you can fit in your hopper for each game. This will be mainly aimed at new players to get them to come and have a go and businesses/ sporting clubs as a social day.

i8dafrog, Because alot of newbies seem to get scared off when they see someone open up with an electro marker. As I said earlier, its mainly aimed at getting people to come and have a go, and get them hooked on the sport. Hopefully they will develop a further interest in the sport from there and eventually get into tourney. It also keeps things on an even platform, so everyone has the same marker and the same amount of paint.
I have been toying with the idea of getting some of the tourney players who want to come down to put on a demonstration of how paintball is played at the top levels.

What sort of air fills?
Most of the guys will be using tipman 98/ pro carbines on co2 but if you have a mechanical marker on air I will arange plenty of scuba tanks. Weve been getting 2500- 3000 fills out of tanks. I am trying to keep costs to a minimum so as to be able to hit our donation target of $5K.
Entry cost is $50 per player including gear, lunch and each players first 100 balls. Additional hundreds will be at $15 per 100, but if you are buying bulk( unlike newbies who count how many shots they have fired...or so it seems.) Im sure Zoran(field operator) will give you a good rate. :thumbsup:

Predator is located just out of Canberra on the way to the snow, along the Monaro hwy near Michelago. We dont have sup air yet (although we are working on it) so games will be played on our village field.

Alls looking good for an exhebition game. Had alot of interest in the day.... just how many will actually enter is another thing. The thing to remember is its all for charity. Zoran is working out a price for boxes of paint for teams if they wish to purchase it that way ( I assume most will) I will let people know as soon as he gets back to me. :thumbsup:

Zoran just got back to me with a price on paint (boxes) for the day. $120 per box with $40 from every box being donated to charity. This will help us hit our target donation of $5k+ :thumbsup:

Hey guys,
We are making a few small changes to the format of the day. Its still going to be mechanical markers only, but we are splitting it in to 2 divisions. Restricted and open.
Restricted will be the original format with limited paint per game, and open will be unlimited paint per game. We are keeping the restricted paint div. for teams who are new to paintball or budget concious, and open for those who want to get out and go for it.
