View Full Version : Perth’s latest Paint Ball Field “I was blown away”

Checked out a new field I heard about located in Baile Road, Canning Vale. Took me 15 minutes from the CBD and my mate came from Midland and took him about the same time. Dodged all the workmen down there getting it ready for opening next weekend, Saturday 12 March. Five new fields, one bush field, two concept fields, two grassed sup air fields. I’m told the two sup fields will be under lights. I believe they are going to run a penants game Tuesday and Thursday nights. You won’t believe this they’ve got toilets, showers and the buggers have even got a sauna and pool  . After looking at the fields I downed a couple of cold Coopers (on tap) and had some tasty grub in their fully licenced Bar and Restaurant. Plenty of eye candy to boot  . Believe they’re running 200 plus tippman 98’s and all brand new gear. The punters are going to have a ball here. Spoke to a young bloke and he said they are keen to have guys like us down here to use the facilities for training etc. They also said they’re building two under cover fields which will be ready in May.
Couldn’t get a phone number but the bloke said he will call me with it and I will post it in the next day or so.
See you down there :armed: .

Not to mention they have a golf courts, tennis courts and basketball courts as well.
And a pool.
There is some serious competition going on in Perth, to attract the punters. The amount of new fields opening is unbelievable, it will be very interesting over the next few months.

Hey guys,
Heres the flyer for the field. went out and had a look (and a couple of drinks :bundy: ) the other day.... this place is AWESOME!!! i cant wait to get out there and play on those lush green freshly mowed fields. Not 100% sure if the place will be open this weekend, but it should be next weekend for sure, as they are just putting the final touches on a few things. No expense has been spared setting this place up, and it wont take long for this place to really take off!!!

So I log in here after not having played for years and find there's a field in the guts of the metro area  From the sounds of it you guys have taken over the old 18 hole golf course the Swan Brewery used to run way back when.
Here's something else I'm going to have to save up for, now that it's finally legal in WA :)

it seems that the operators of CPC have had a visit from a group of Repo dudes and lawyers that have cleaned the place out to settle an unpaid debt.
Indications are that it is out of business as of yesterday hence the RIP.
It remains to be seen if it is permanent or not.

For all the people in WA, who have come forth and have given such a rave review, maybe you should talk to ALL the SUPPLIERS that actually helped this guy get his business up and running, and he has since failed to pay most of these people.
Great way to run a business. NOT!!!
I see all the people that have given this guy a good rave review are players, and some of them are the ones that have been bagging other field owners.
This guy is no better than the average joe blow paintball player, just wanting everything for nothing. And not willing to give anything back to the paintball industry.
Being one of the suppliers that has not been paid by this guy, we are talking from experience.
It's nice to be able to give away a DVD, and give away a beer or two and have a nice piece of grass to play on. Paintball field of dreams.
This guy has lied to me, deceived me, and cheated me out of the money he owes me. Fair and square.
If you take the goods from a supplier, in good faith. Then you bounce a cheque on the supplier, i guess you should expect the supplier to get a little bit upset. Then when you are promised a bank transfer, and you wait a couple of days for it to come through, but yet it does not arrive. You really start to wonder. Then you pay him a visit, meet the man, behind the voice, and he tells you the money will be in your account. If it does not arrive in your bank account, ring me, and I will courier over a bank cheque. STILL WAITING!!!!
For all you paintballers out there, damn, it just seems like you will have to go and play on the old fields, that some of you just like to bag.
People that I have been talking about, you know who you are. THOSE OTHER PAINTBALLERS WHO ARE OUT THERE, HELPING THE SPORT, CONGRATULATIONS, WELL DONE AND WE WILL BE THERE FOR YOU, WHEN YOU NEED A HELPING HAND. Macca, Miff, Shane, Gimp, Adrenalin Rush team, X Presidents, WASP, Towie's crew, Andrew (PW Sports), & Murray. And the guys that have put the hards yards in to make the sport better for everyone. I do hope in a way, that this has now happened, no-one whinges when they don't get credit from the major suppliers in WA, or the Eastern States.
We were very happy to support & help out a new paintball field and it's owner. However, unfortunately, not only has it left a bad taste in our mouth, it makes us reflect on the prices for the future.

well shifty its great to hear there were some new diehards getting into it
were you down there working every week or just playing?
btw what gun do you shoot as my understanding was that you had to use field rentals is that the case or were you able to use your own gear?
cheers
PM
Well said Trish and Percy,
Maybe Shifty should look outside the little box that he must live in, there are fields 20 mins from that place. It has been interesting watching people taking the PISS out of the sand boxes that they have had to play in all this time and it has shown those players true colors and what little respect they have for the fields that have made it possible for them to play at all.......they no and we no who they are.
It has made us ALL more cautious of who we help and dont help.
Dman
PS I can't imagine how many players that they could of introduced in the very short time they were open.

Some of the questions/answers from the test that I remember -
when crossing a fence, place the gun on the ground (don't lean it up against the fence)
test firing - preferably shoot into a clay embankment, stone could cause ricochet
shooting into water can cause deflection.
Until you see for yourself that the chamber is empty, assume the gun is loaded.

Just a note, CVPC not only ripped of their suppliers, but also many of their employees and various businesses where never paid. Not to mention that they where not a Registered Business nor where they doing their books properly.
Looks like its going to turn into a sticky battle in the courts. For everyone who has been affected by these crooks i feel for you, the guy who is behind all this has a long history doing this. He has had over 7 businesses which have gone bust, and been to the Supreme Court 8 times.
I recommend people that where burnt to do the some credit checks, they cost $200 but it will make all the difference in court. He is a professional at manipulating people; one thing is for sure he will not pay you the money owing.
Pm me if you need his personal info, also I can supply what business names he trades under.

Let's see now. Where do I start.
On Wednesday, Matho got a call from Richard of CPC, asking us did we want to oversee the operations there and run a few paintball games, in an effort to get some of our money back.
On Thursday, Kris & I met with Richard to talk to him about his bookings for the weekend, and ask him a few questions, and basically set a few ground rules.
On Friday, Kris & I spent all day, and part of the evening, getting gear together so that CPC could be run successfully the next day.
Matho spoke to Kevin, to confirm his involvement with CPC, and Kevin said he was not financially involved nor had anything to do with Richard. And Richard owed him money. At this time, Kevin asked if we had a fill station that he could lend Richard for the weekend.
On Saturday morning, Kris & I met at the office, with two of Richard's referees, and loaded 30 boxes of paint.
Then I drove to our field to pick up a chronograph, and headed up to Canningvale Paintball Centre to get the day started.
Upon arrival, to my absolute shock, there was 34 piranhas and full sets of gear, set up ready to go. I asked Richard where the markers had come from. He replied from Kevin.
The day ran fairly smoothly, with a few minor hitches, but you get that. At the end of the day, we had to pay a rental fee for the use of Kevin's markers. But on the other hand, Kevin said that Richard owned the markers, and he had nothing to do with them. So Kevin, what secret squirrel business are you up to??!!
The $8000+ that changed hands at approx 9pm on Friday night, was who's money Kevin, yours or Richards. Not that it's any of our business.
But if Richard can come up with the cash to purchase markers at the last minute, why can't he pay his debts.
It seems Kevin, that you are far more involved than either you or Richard will say. Come clean and tell everyone what your involvement is Kevin. The truth needs to be told.

Well I dont understand why anybody is willing to help these people out? I do understand you want your money back that is owing fair enough but that's what lawyers are for.
Kevin has used the Laundry person that I use for my field and that bill hasn't been paid yet lucky there rubbish gets picked up for free.

With the crap that has gone on at this set-up no one should support them
Be that players or suppliers
Even if they offered to pay me to play there now I would tell them to stick it up their ass
People should just cut off their supplies and let them die a quick death and leave us alone -without burning anymore business along the way
Punters should stick to the old tried and true fields that work hard to keep the sport above board and FUN!!!!
It shits me to death when people with money (or so they say) try to jump in and kill the pig over night , but all they do is screw small business along they way and leave a trail of debts and mess as they silently vanish over night with all the cash :thumbsdow :fu:

I was out at Canningvale Paintball Centre today with 20 of my mate and a great time! They are still in business and will be for a long time so one of the guys was telling me today. They have had large flood lights fitted in two of the fields and will be running night game in the next few weeks, looking forward to that! I have played at most of the major fields in Perth over the past 5 years and CPC would be the best by far! Simply because of the facilities and the location. It about time all the other fields owners stopped throwing stone and get on with getting there own fields up to scratch. :whip:
Keep up the good work CPC, see you in a few weeks for those night games.

Out limits isn't that far from you - it's in Serpentine. If you are going to get into paintball seriously, you should check out more than just your nearest field anyway. Also, Outer Limits has a strong presence in the tournament paintball scene, fielding several teams at most of the local tournaments, with representation on the national paintball scene as well. There are plenty of players there who could help you improve your game, and provide you with a diversity of experienced opinion on what paintball equipment is going to be suitable for your requirements.

remember obsession is only a manifestation of the right to shoot some bastard
I wonder, like anything, if there is money and heaps of interest in something, a
whole lot of people jump on the band wagon to try make a buck.
The problem with this is, too many people getting involved sucks the money out of it,
and makes the established owners either struggle or choke all together.
I hope for the sake of the game this doesn't happen, and it only adds to the growth
of the sport.
