Just a quick one Bill, I understand that you obviously cant let this site interfere with your life more than I'm probably sure it already does but I just seem to notice that it takes a really big breakthrough in news to make the opening screen to the site. For example the issue about paintball being legal here in W.A "in one week" was over a couple months ago.
I'm sure you have thought about it heaps, maybe as a suggested remedy you could have one or two of the lads here post some new news each week or so. Not everyone goes straight into the forums especially new people to the site....Anyways enough of the ramblings, Cheers

I never see the main page, unless Bills is broken or I have logged in on a different comp!! so what happens there is no big deal. Basically there has been no newsworthy things happen since then, unless you count deadeye being banned again

My only point is that for new people to the site it can look outdated/not kept

The site sounds like Knackers :D
I understand what Bazza means as the "in one week" is a little out of date.
Submissions for the front page could be sent I guess and approved by Bill.
Sorry Bill "serious" submissions.( that means none by me :o )
I know what you mean Bazza.
It mostly comes down to me being sent (or more to the point not sent) news.
In the past I did have a couple of other people posting news on there, but it turned out that they posted very little :(
I would like the frontpage to display as much news as possible as the site stats show that a lot of people just visit the front page and a couple of others and then leave.
If anyone would like access to be able to post news on the front page, let me know. (no html skills necessary, just type the news and hit submit).
Im keen to get a couple of reliable, regular reporters if possible.

Random being the word in that sentence ;)
Random being the word in that sentence ;)
Thats not a bad thing in this case.
Posting random bits of paintball industry news from around the world would certainly be interesting to some visitors.
The more interested they are, the more likely they are to join the forums.

Yea thats what i meant :o :D
Maybe a section that summarizes the years tournament placings
for example: Top 3 of Qld Cup, AXL, SAPPA & series placings - maybe helps to develop team profiles.

Good Point Bill.... Sometimes a site with out of date news turns people off from looking further... they don't know what their missing....
