What do you guys think?We had just changed fields for the quarter finals and the refs werte really biased towards US teams as they were us themselves.Soon as we got into the quarter finals teams started cheating against us and wiping was rampant,come the third game we could have still made it to the next finals but the team we were playing decided to cheat one of their players was three full steps out of the start box before the whistle blew so by the time I get my marker up he was in his barricade shooting us all out and when we protested about it we were told to shut up cause we whinge to much:mad:
So we were knocked out of the next finlas event so our last game had to be something special,we decided that we should all go for it and just run straight at them shooting so we did it was a french canadian team and we got four of them and the flag grab but the refs decided that the other team should get all the points so basically we told them what we thought of them and I think that a few of them got shot in the process of the game;)
The other team thought that it was funny and we all had a good laugh:cool:
Talking to a british team that was playing on the same field they had similar troubles but didn't try to emulate our last game:D :D
Some other american teams that we talked to we embaressed of their countrymen as they detest wiping and cheating and they actually apoligised:D :D
Anyway we had fun and learnt alot:D

By the sounds of what you had to contend with I think you guys did amwicked job. Quarter Finals at an International Tourny is nothing to sneeze at anyway - especially when faced off against cheating opposition and cheating refs!:hammer:

The guy who filmed was just some guy in the stands that i talked into filming the boys last game. I knew what they were going to do so it made a funny film!

We ended up in 7th place in the AM division...Team Diehard...John...Much better than last year eh!!!

Download the latest version of Media player and it should work

and have a look at Force of Nature and look at the gallery for the Skyball, page 9,I think......there is a picture of Rainy and Jamie (a small part of him) and two other guys breaking for a game.

Gav I got the Codec error too - went direct to the website and ran it off there rather than using the hotlink. Worked OK.

Jamie what field did you have trouble on?

As an American Team we felt we got the short end of the stick from US judges on field 3, they judged with an attitude ( bad one at that).

Glad to see Australia represented.

It's was good meeting Jamie at Skyball, and you guys did a great job.

Too bad I did not have enough time to hang out with you guys and Gibb, had a team to run. Also, functioning on 2 hours of sleep per day took it's toll on me.

We are planning on making it to NZ for Rotoura (sp), so if anu Aussie teams make it there, it would cool to have a drink.

Aftermath we had trouble with the guys reffing field 6 for the rookie quarter finals:D What team did you play with?
Hopefully I will be able to go back next year had lots of fun but being there at 0530 to get a table knida sucked:D

I played on Florida Aftermath in the Novice division.
I can tell you this, there appeared to be way to many people in the rookie division that did not belong there, we actually could of played in the Rookie but felt guilty knowing it should be left to beginners so we went up one.

They werent payin attention and it was just to fats for them they didn't understand what was happening,cause we were argueing with them for the previous 3 games that we had on that field and they weren't to concerned about other american teams cheating against us.So basically they were lazy and to cover up for their laziness they just said we cheated and that was that.
Another team had the same problems they were from the jersey islands in the uk and they had exactly the same problems as us with them.
One game a guy was a least 3 steps out of the start box before the whistle went and by the time I got my marker around(cause they have to be touching the back tape)he was in his barricade and starting to shoot out my front players.When I argued with the refs about this they said that were should stop arguing and that we whinge too much.I nearly got into a fight over that one and the guy that cheated wouldn't even look me in the eye the big freakin coward and skulked off before I could call him a cheat in front of everybody.
Well that's enough of a rant and rave:D It's all good now and we had fun.The french canadians were blown away and even they couldn't understand why the refs gave them all the points and we got nothing:armed: :armed: :armed:

The refs in Rotoura were on the ball last year and very professional. We only had 2 minor hicups caused by other players.

The majority of the refs were great,so I suppose that you gotta take it as it comes.I saw an avalanche player cheat in LA and let him know about it:D
My first ever large tourny I saw people get into fights and throw people round and I vowed that I would never do it even though I have been tempted alot,it's a great way to destroy a sport that we have a hard enough time promoting as a professional sport:angel: :angel:
