Guys ive read the previous threads comparing different hoppers etc. Some of the threads are a little old and i want to get a current view of hoppers.
Ive had a rev and an egg and im over both of them. The egg is great at first but as we know gets too brittle soon enough and breaks.
Im interested in the Halo and the empire. I want a rip drive no problems there but :
1. whats the difference between Halo and Empire they look the same.
2. speed isnt the essence as im not the quickest but really want durability.

what do you all suggest empire or halo and why! :help:

Having used a Halo a couple of times they are very quick especially with a victory board. But they have a lot mechanical issues sometimes and dont like brittle paint.

The reloader B is sound activated but other than that I dont know too much abouit it. See if you can try both and see what your preferance is.

Both are good and perform practically the same...id go a Halo B with Vboard personally but whatever u get it will be fine.

HAlo B with a v board is fantastic.

They do have a rep for breaking down at the most inopportune time BUT they are damn fast. Im not a fast shooter but I noticed the differance with a Halo V board installed.

I personally think if you look after it well, keep it clean, etc etc they are alright. Ive only had mine go down once.

The Halo is very very fast, but always have a Rip Drive installed, and don't overfill it.
I'm over the Eggs, I'm sick of replacing battery doors and lids.

Anyone one have any input on the reloader B as a sound activated hopper.
Does the mechanics relating to the sound avtivation cause many breakdowns etc.

Not really, they're generally very reliable.

its an egg that actually feeds FAST...an advertised 27bps - 10bps faster than the last..uses spring tension so it is a true force feed not like the last once which isn't really force feed. So Speed of a Halo, with the more reliable design of an Egg. If they could fix up the battery door issue it would be almost perfect..aside fom the fact that it is pretty fat. But this threads not about eggs so lets stay on topic:)

The Reloader sound activation system is pretty reliable.

1. Empire is soundactivated, hence doesn't have any problems with dark shelled paint. Plus its speed is adjustable in 3 levels from which level 1 is gentle on paint and level 3 is blendermode, but rips as hell with hard shelled paint.
2. In 3 years I had 1 broken Drivecone on a Halo B, that's about it. Put in fresh batteries and enjoy the speed :)

Feels good, lets you shoot faster than any other loader, no problems with dark shelled paint, durable, reliable.

im getting my ion later this month... is it worth getting a cheap motorized hopper or should i be going straight to a halo?

an Egg (evo II) does just fine for the ion, save the halo and the reloader b until you have a high end gun. just my 2 cents.

I went for the reloader with my ion. I figured if i get a decent hopper now and i end up out shooting the ion it wont be the hoppers fault and if i then decide to upgrade to a faster marker i wont need to fork out and spend extra cash on a faster hopper.

From what was explained to me about both hoppers is the reloader is a tad faster then halo and comes with something that the halo dosent what i cant remember.

I was told you can change the stuff in the halo like the board and i think it was the motor or something like that and then they would be the same. Either way i dont think you would be dissapointed.

An egg will feed an Ion with no problems. Just make sure you get a Z-board for it as they feed faster than the stock one.

i have been using both for a long time, the halo is fast(16-18bps) where as a reloader will hit 21-22 on a good day. Both are awesome loaders, and both have the same flaws tto break down. Either one will work great.
