I'm having a bit of trouble stopping my baby from going full rip..

I've put the return spring in behind the trigger and set the debounce all the way up - but after a couple of shot's it goes full rip to 25+ balls a second..

Needless to say, it's not field legal in it's current state..

Other than backing the trigger all the way out, what else can I do ?

Not that it makes a difference, it's an ironmen timmy.

new battery? maybe your microswitch needs replacement?

hmmmmmmmmm, you think a faulty switch ?

I was thinking maybe the pressure was too high and was maybe a bit of kick that there shouldnt be..

It's running on 80psi.. I've had it down to 50psi.. but it's obviously getting drop off.. and the velocity is affected..

I want to get another solenoid anyhow, might as well get another trigger switch.. and I probably need a spare touch panel because the contacts on the one I am using are dodgy..

Are these part of the wiring harness or can you get them seperate ? I've checked all the local dealers website's and no luck as yet...

It shouldn't be bouncing if the Debounce is set to 50 dude.
Try swapping the switch for the replacement one in the spares kit I sent you.

50 ? DAMNNNNNNNNNN

It's set to 10 at the moment.. that could be a good reason why it's bouncin it's ass off !

its.... 1... 2... 3.. VRTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

and she starts winding up like a smg, awesomely jaw dropping...

Now to find a hopper that will keep up with it..

back the trigger off a tad and up debounce to 15 or so and see how it is then

Drop it to 50, and if it's still bouncing, there might be an issue, if not, keep dropping it down to about 20-25.

Buy a Halo with a V board or Angry board.

Will one of those new empire hoppers keep up ? they look almost identical and have the manual unjam option...

empire reloader B's are fine..but Halo B with V board or Angry board will be faster.

sounds like you need to adjust your gun like hardcore said, I am assuming you got it from him if he sent you the spares kit (of course you did it thru a dealer and its licensed???)
Have you changed settings or travel since you bought it?
you only just got the gun but you think it needs a new switch and solenoid??
did you get it cheap as you make it sound like its flogged out.

btw Timmys are known for being very bouncy do what Hardcore says work backwards from highest filter.

I dont want to get into the this hopper is faster than that but in the testing we have done the reloader B outshot the V board every time but does do some double feeding if you have weak detents.
have not used an angry but I hear they are very good

Of course... all legal, and it's licenced.

I updated the software, I also bought the trigger in a tad - it was out too far for my liking.. there was also no spring behind the trigger.. the spring, however - was in the spare parts case..
As I have little experience with timmy's, I thought I should be wise and ask before I break it..

It doesn't need a new solenoid, I like to have 1 of everything on hand incase it goes - I cant afford to wait 6 weeks to get one from the states if it goes down at a tourney, I'd be up the creek without a paddle.. I like to have enough to carry me over.. paying $100 entry fee, then loading pods is not my idea of a fun time..

As for it being " Flogged out " It's not flogged out, infact - it's one of the nicest gun's I've seen in a very long time.. it doesn't even look like it's been really used... to be honest with ya.. it's a damn fine marker, and Hardcore has done the right thing by me.. I'm more than impressed with the toy !..

Yep, that's what I had in mind..

I used a Halo B ( I think.. ) on saturday at the wots 1, 05 tourney - and It was awesome.. only problem was that some out of round paint was jamming and it took a couple of seconds to clear... and that's not good when you got SWG running down the field trying to mug you..

I was told that the empire loaders are much better and for the price, compare and exceed the halo loaders in the same category.

Oh it's been used....
You might need harder ball detents if you're using a Halo.

Euk, your best bit for getting Timmy parts is Action or PWsports (I think).
I don't think anyone in Australia carries a huge range of parts for them.
Action has ball detents and ram bumpers, (you won't need these).

Try www.888paintball.com, or ring Action and get them to order for you.
You're on to a good thing about the solenoid, it's best to have one on hand.
The one in the marker was replaced in May.

DOnt worry about it, you payed extra for the bounce. Thats what i tell people anyway. I run my debounce at 20 and mbounce at 3. Try adjusting trigger with a little bit of post travel.

Also Lindsay from Platinumpaintball can get timmy parts. Check http://www.firstcallpaintball.com for timmy parts.

WAS Board Timmys don't have Mbounce.
But yeah, as Trent said.

Are you certain ?

I upgraded the software using leith's cable.. ( the version you had was about 2 years old or so )

I am certain there's an Mbounce option in the latest software upgrade.. I'm at work now, will check when I get home in about 2 hours..

just so ya know Euk, ...........That was round 2 of the KAOS CUP not W.O.T.S. round 1 2005

and the Team that was coming down at ya was actually Indecent Assault, not SWG despite the jersey.

hope you sort that Timmy out...hehehehehe

You might need harder ball detents if you're using a Halo.

Is there a guide to which detent's suit different loaders ?

i.e. Halo generally requires a hard detent, empire generally requires a medium.. etc etc..

sorry for the newbie questions, it's just something that I've gotta know.. ;)

Hardcore
18-02-2005, 01:53 PM
Nope, because they're basically the same loader.
You'll need hard detents to stop them double feeding.

eukanuba
18-02-2005, 02:04 PM
well, there's no chance of that... I'm starving it with a halo tsa at the moment..

I'll most likely get a halo b next loader.. the egg's look _way_ too tempremental.. battery doors and springs in the lids are always going.. never really had a problem with a halo...

TRENT

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, how dare you sell him your Timmy HArcore without checking what hopper he was going to use. Your timmy is wasted with that loader.

On a Serious Note, i run an egg only because i had chopping issues with halo. If you can get a halo to work use that but if not egg will be 100% fine although u do sometime out shoot it. It does hold more than a halo which seems to be emty every time you look at it with a timmy.
