Rather than posting all these guns give us your budget and we will tell you whats a good marker for that. All depends on what u want to spend and how often and where you want to go with tourny paintball.

My price bracket is up to $1000 - $1500 but i play at Paintball petes and wanna get into tourneys when theer is one next in nsw.
I like the look of the Spyder Xtra kit at www.adrenalinplus.net.au/ and thinking of upgrading it to Compressed Air.
Hope this all helps

Well one suggestion is look in the private sales section here. Why get a new marker then buy the extras when chances are you could buy something good with extra goodies from someone second hand.
Also before you get someones ideas on a marker - go try it. Go to training, ask around and shoot as many different types you can, decide what suits you - not someone else, and get that. If you cant afford it new, get it second hand. For your budget you should be able to deck yourself out fairly well - enough to get started in some tourneys..
My 2 bits but i hope it helps...

Ok for that amount yeah i would check out some of the 2nd hand cyborgs on here especially since you play at Paintball petes. If its his Mt White field your set as Paintball Pete shots a borg and the guys from the Macdev Factory. If you have an issue on the day you most likely have someone there that will know exactly what the problem is and help you fix it.

come out to Petes on a sunday as most of the guys will be out there training and you will have a variety of guns to try and you will be able to go out for a couple of games with them
$1500 will get you a brand new Vision Impulse (in one of 4 cool colours), 4500/68 air system and Evo II complete! for an extra $290.00 you can turn that Impulse into a brand new Vision Shocker!
Check out our website at www.actionpaintball.com.au and go to the shop section to find out more.
We are open every day and are only 40 minutes drive from Paintball Petes too. This way you can come out, have a look and feel and possibly a shoot of your next toy. We have tons of new guns for you to try out.
We have a lot the top Australian players and teams (SWAT, Shock, Apocalypse etc) training at our field every Sunday, plus 3 Inflatable Extreme Air (see Sup'Air) playing fields for you to run on as well as another 15 other courses to you to try out.
If you need to know any more just give us a call on 02 9679 0011 anytime.
For $1790 that is a sweet deal for a Shocker, these really are a very nice tournament package and they have previously been sold for a lot more than this (i know cause i paid a lot more than this for mine  , but it was oh so worth it :respekt: )
Seriously though dude, you arent going to be able to make a smart decision on what you should buy until you see a few in the flesh and have a really good look at them, cos some markers may simply not suit you because they are weighted a certain way, have a trigger that inhibits you, be too bulky for the position you want to play etc
Go to Pete's and shoot some Cyborgs and whatever else they have up there, go to Mike's and play around with their massive supply of goodies and by then you should have had a few different ones that you can compare and make an educated decision, and that way you will be happy with your choice and will be a lot less likely to waste a heap of money on upgrading later

On the subject of the thread, definately take a trip to Action and try out their toys, the shocker is proven to be the choice of championship winning teams in NPPL, and worth spending the bit extra, so you wont need to upgrade in the future.
