Food and drinks will be available to purchase on the day.
All fees due no later than 2 april 2005 as field fees and paint prices will be higher on the day

Hopefully with a big game on huge feilds 2000 paintballs should be enough for anyone to have fun, but if you want more paintballs you will have to purchase them from the field.
The players have to carry what they want to shoot.
The Ref's will be observing and enforcing rules only.
Both sides will have HQ's to leave all your gear

I dunno about no excuse - they still have to save their pennies for the tournament, and the scenario is going to be quite expensive, 4 big battles, and being tournament players that means a case of paint per battle = $400. :lol:

The price for someone with their own equipment sounds ok. I'm probably prepared to pay that for the novelty of a big game.

Effectively slugging the rental players $80 for a field rental marker, goggles and cams seems a bit rich though. Unless you are renting out electro's. Everyone getting an Angel or a Borg then? (--insert humor icon here -- (people seem to have confused my box per game for tourny players joke with serious commentary))

i am trying to create something different for western australian paintball
i've been watching the dvd's for years now is the time to create our own history.

thie first game is gallipoli beachstorm
the aussie's first send in a barrage from their ships
then send in the troops, crossing 35m of open beach area and then move upwards through the hill, facing entrench turkish troops.
but don't worry if your taken out early there is a rejuvination periods
objectives and orders on the day
45min game

the second game
battle of chunuk bair
an all out battle for the top of the hill
field size is approx 100 acres
2 hour rejuvination game
approx 75-100 acres

the third game
battle of bullecourte
the whole wasp paintball complex which is 8 fields
with multiple objectives
2 hour rejuvination game

the fourth game
battle for kokoda trail
rescue the pow and take out the other team
1 hour game half hour rejuve.

I'm thinking if you need players and wanna make history you need to do the following:

lower the price of paint per case to arround $70 which is what BYO people pay and still makes you a profit. Since 100 people x 2-3 cases each = 200-300 cases of paint. that's like at least $6000 more than other places would make on paint. And i'm sure you're not going to be running tourny paint, just cheap rental paint?!? :S

But that's my opinion and i'm not you so who knows maybe the figures mean you need to charge that much for paint. *shrugs*

a great scenario day event
first in western australia on this scale

the price is pre-paid (ending 2/4/05) and will be higher on the day (what tournement gives a box of paint in your registration for $120)
players bringing they own gear will be using tourney grade paint

this anzac day is the 90th anniversary
what a good way to remeber them by re-enacting it (and if played well,change history).

it's up to you paintballers of western australia
we need one hundred players to make history and i am only half way there

i thought prices were pretty fair for what you get.

I'm not saying that it's unreasonable. But you're at 1/2 way. To encourage people to attend perhaps if you cut the figures a little finer and that way open your market to a whole host of people which probably want to play but the cost is just a little out of their budget.

I really like the idea of what you are doing. If not for the fact that i'm busy over Anzac day I would LOVE to come along.

Browne, we needed at least 100 players for 2 reasons (a) the ridge being used for most of the battle was huge (approx) 2k`s long so 50+ a side was the minimum for a good battle,(b) and the most important, the stuff we had organised needed paying for i:e pyro`s, st johns,free paint for winning part of a battle, fly overs with light aircraft club dropping flour bombs, did i tell you about the naked women, and so on ect ect.
wasp paintball always wants to run the best possible day`s paintball,we have a reputation for this and that means spending money, to allow this to happen hence the no walk on paint ect.this will apply next year as well, i will be keepng all the registrations from this year and we are looking at giving those guy`s and those guy`s alone a discount for the next one in 2006.
