the issue becomes weight.

I used to use 9 ounce and they were good but once you go higher for punters the bottle becomes heavier and more bulky i.e. 12oz or 20oz

I might have not explained myself properly
The question is what is the best sized cylinder to decant from?? ie G,F,E etc ?

The bigger the better, with siphon. Chilled bottled are going to get a better fill, so if you don't want to use venting the remaining
CO2 in the tank to chill the bottle, you can use an eski on field to chill the bottles before filling them. One field operator I knew used to chill them in the fridge overnight before filling to get the most out of his bulk fills, but this sort of micro-management can be a waste of time. I'm not aware of anyone who has been doing cascade fills with CO2, but this could be a method for getting the most out of your bulk CO2. when one tank is getting light on CO2, you could use it to bulk fill, then top up from a fresh tank. Or use the light tank to fill and vent, chilling the 12/20oz prior to filling it. A cascade fill station would allow you to perform this with minimal effort. In then end it's the effort you will want to minimise rather than getting the last ounce out of your bulk tank.

It may not be the most economical, but you can move e's about without getting a hernia. The G's are a bit lumpy.

Buy in bulk and save. Like most things, the more you get the cheaper it works out for you. G sized bottles are cheaper in the long run than E sized.

We are currently working on a system of using a very large bulk tank (filled buy a bulk delivery truck), and then pumping the liquid CO2 into the marker cylinders. Although expensive initially, it may prove to be more economical in the long run.
