Hey Judicator, Great game on Sunday, Doug rocked with the A-5. I didn't think it would do that well esp after reading the reviews saying that the stock bbl was crap etc. But it really was shooting darts, well you learn something new everyday. (Don't trust reviews) A good day was had by all and I really feel it this morning (gotta do more training).
See you next time...

I'll have to see the boys @ Action and maybe get a new bbl. The stock Spyder bbl just didn't seem to be doing it for me on the w/e. I noticed that Zap Cronic shot better than the ProBall out of the stock bbl. Yeah the A-5 didn't shoot too bad at all. Which just goes to show sometimes stock is ok.

As for welts.... don't get me started... :hammer: bloody Dougy 3 hits within a 12" circle from the other side of the field. Bloody good shooting. Anyway I prob won't be able to make it on the 21st  , I'll be in Yeppoon 15th - 19th and then Brisvegas on the 21st - 25th. Busy Month.

Cheers,

oh thats a shame...but i have good news, i went to my mailbox saw a letter address to me, i open it up and see 'PERMIT TO AQUIRE' WOOOOOOO!!!! it has only taken 5 weeks! so im on the lookout for a marker now. most likely a spyder of some sort, but after the weekend we just had might seriously look at an A-5.

are you still pretty keen on starting up a central highlands paintball team?

Yeah still keen, we won't be able to travel all that much due to the stupidly huge distances involved and the fact that we haven't got a private plane :p but I'm still keen to try and start it up. It would be a new thing for Emerald so we may be able to interest some sponsors. (they seem to sponsor everything else). Should be good. Catch up with you soon.

Well dispite all the nay sayers, the A-5 has proved to be a good high end rec marker. We put a bucket load of balls through it on the w/e and did not chop one. The twist lock hopper is a great idea for the rec market, caus punters just don't like their hopper coming off and balls going everywhere. I can't see anything wrong with the standard hopper and the cyclone feed worked fine. The standard trigger is ok for rec games although a response trigg kit would be a good buy if you were to buy one. On PB Review they complained about it being loud. It isn't any louder than the average marker sucking CO2.
I'm going to have to get the flatline bbl cause I just have to have a play :D All in all a good marker for senario or "woodsball" play.

Cheers,

Doggy

Sorry bbl is a firearms term, blued barrel abbreviated to bbl then just used to mean "barrel", ssbl = stainless steel barrel... Oh no,,, should not have used the term "firearm" even though the very nice gentlemen / ladies at weapons lic use that term.

Seriously in response to Deadeyes Q. The A-5 hopper seams sturdy and not like the plastic of my reloader at all. I've got a bit of 100mph tape across the front of it just in case.

I really don't think you could seriously rock up to an am tourny with A-5's. A great many people probably wouldn't think it politicly correct. :whip:, but for our local bush field it's fine.

Anyone know the bore size of a standard Spyder trio barrel? I don't have any calipers laying around at the moment?

Cheers

P.s yeah we will have to get across to atomic soon. There seems to be more and more people out here keen to get involved.
