View Full Version : Trying to buy a Phantom VSC

Lately I've been trying to look into buying a Phantom VSC stock class marker. But I keep getting told 'we don't have stock class in Australia'. What's the deal with that?

I'm not looking at playing pure stock class games - I want the challenge of using a stock class marker against semi-autos. It's fair enough that stores don't stock them if there isn't a big market over here for them, but I would at least like to be able to get one ordered in.

I support all the other restrictions on markers in Australia - I don't want to run around with pistols or replica guns, but if I can't get a stock class marker it's just ridiculous... :thumbsdow

:help:

I suppose I could settle for a Sterling tournament pump, but I want to have to reload every 15 shots! (cause I'm dead 'ard  )

Go for a pump dude amd use 10 shot stick loaders. Most field do not want anyone to use 12 grams on their fields as they are litter. Plus you have to make sure that your marker meets all length reqirements.

I have played stock class and frankly it sucked. I can understand wanting to use a pump, but believe me, stock has no redeeming features.........It only existed because it was the first paintball system before Constant Air.

As for playing with them against semis, if you really want to experience the thrill of using a stock gun against semis, easy, put on a blind fold stand in front of a tree and get everyone to shoot the crap out of you. That is exactly what it will feel like.

10 shot loaders would probably be a better idea.

My reasons for wanting to play stock is that I've used a semi for a while and frankly find it very boring. I don't even make use of the higher rate of fire. I want something that won't tempt me to waste paintballs and makes me rely on my own skill rather than the firepower of the marker. If I can get that from a normal pump with small loaders, then good. I won't have to worry about air but will have to worry about reloading.

But are those 10-shot loaders readily available? Couldn't find them on the acton paintball catalogue...

Anyone got any suggestions on what's a good pump action gun/setup? Money is almost no object. Seems difficult to compare guns and prices over the internet cause no internet stores seem to sell many pumps! :thumbsdow Now I'm looking at getting a Sterling STP - can anyone give me a price quote?

Alternatively, I could use a semi with a 10-shot loader

Sterling is a very fine pump.

Look for "paint tubes" on US sites which is how you feed pumps with 10 shots (very old school).

However I am sure you will want a reasonable hopper once you start playing with the pump.
