Thanx for the support guys!

Final Standings:

Professional:
1. Entourage
2. Joy Division
3. XSV
4. Arsenal

Yes, Dynasty has clinched the Millennium Series, but we've also clinched the NPPL Series as well. Of the 5 events totaled on the NPPL Series Championship 2 can come from Europe. We had already won Germany and Toulouse, so a win here for Dynasty means nothing. And Since Entourage did so well in Las Vegas we decided to chase down that ever elusive 16th pro spot for the 2005 NPPL season.

Our Team Entourage win in Malaga gave us 50 points, so with the points earned in Las Vegas we are at 90. Just shy of the 16th spot. A good showing in San Diego will probably secure it for us.

You will see both Dynasty and Entourage in San Diego! So make sure you are there, and stop by and say "What up."

Its a Dynasty second team, isn't it?

yeah Dynasty's roster was too big because they got extra players for their Xball squad and so no one had to sit tournaments out they formed a 2nd squad and there 14 players rotate between them both..

JJJ

surely they cant rotate between both because that would put them at risk of "sandbagging".

They dont need to Sandbag. Both of them would make podiums all by themselves.

Both of Dynastys teams play in the pro devision this year and next year the "PRO" devision is going to be limited to 16 teams so there will be having a sort of Semi pro devision for all the Pro teams that didn't make it this year so its not like there playing am or novice ... and to be honest .. I think both teams might be in the top 16 anyway.

Except one team only entered late in the series. Surely they cant have free rotation that would be strange.

no .. they can't rotate during a tournie but its like you adding a player for tournie and then adding another player for another comp ... Total Eclipse still wins the comp ???

well thats a bit far fetched .. might be saver to say last ...

I actually didnt mean during a tourny by say you have Fraige and Oliver in Dynasty who have secured the series so in the last round they move to the second team to get them the points then back to Dynasty for the next comp.

As long as Entourage does well at the last event they will be in the top 16 most probably next year so both teams will play pro. At this last event seeing Dynasty has already wrapped up every series there is they took like everyone and all played on Entourage to ensure they got full points in Malaga which carries over to NPPL so Entourage is guaranteed a spot in 05. I dotn see the problem with free roatation, if you couldn't have that then it would be the same as saying no players anywhere can change teams during a season.

Malaga Beach (Millennium Series)
Posted by: jotajotaZ on Wed, 13 October 2004 00:35:43 (1241

So you say you weren't there? Oh man, I feel your pain. Fuengirola Beach, 20 minutes away from Malaga's International airport. 25 degrees Celsius the whole weekend, sun, sand, beach, CocaCola-sponsored paintball, what more could you ask for? 4 sup'air fields, (one of them with a HUGE Cocacola bottle in the 50s) and crowds. For the first time in my paintball career (not so long, that's true) I had people cheering my team - people I never met before. People would stop you on the streets and ask about that paintball stuff that was going on: "Who won?" - "The Americans, but the Swedes were near". And that was it: Entourage took pro with Joy Division making a second place after sending XSV to play Arsenal for the third place. Europe has just got its own Huntington Beach.

Sorry for the delay with the report and the pictures but the beach was so nice we just couldn't leave it, specially after being invited by Mercury Paintball to play some games this Monday in one of the tournament fields

In Division I, Consilium Dei weren't able to finish their season with a victory, missing the finals for just 4 points after qualifying seconds for the semis. Texas Storm took the first position with Doriane Golak making the second. Kellys were able to make thirds after winning the Ugly Ducklins. Division II was won by Les Agneux, Paintoon made seconds, Doriane Golak thirds (and Millennium Series Champions in Division II) and, most surprisingly, the Goblins (from Greece) made fourth (after being 42nd at Maxs and 19th at Toulouse). Division III was won by the Evil Swedes, Kult were second, Squall third and PMA Rush fourth.

The relaxed atmosphere of the whole event, with the fields just 10 meters away from the sea and the local fiestas could have had something to do with the underperformance of Arsenal who did not play at their usual level. It definately had to do with Avalanche missing the finals after forfeiting a game first hour in the morning (jet lag maybe, maybe something else). The whole venue was set up alongside Fuengirola's Marina, so many people would just drop by during their afternoon walk and got to watch some games and buy some stuff in the trade area (the busiest we've seen Euroside this year) many affordable restaurants were just across the street so the prices in the venue restaurant weren't too high. Players had free drinks sponsored by CocaCola during the whole weekend in the Beach Bar that was just some steps away the player's staging area. The air supply was there too with the noisy chronograph area some meters away. The sea was just meters away and many players were seen having a short siesta in the sand between games. Definately the coolest, most laid-back tourney of the Millennium Series.

Next year's NPPL Pro bracket is getting more clear. Dynasty will be there with Entourage (althought the Dynakids have stated that they will not be using that second slot, who wouldn't?), XSV, Arsenal, Avalanche, Infamous, Naughty Dogs, Rage, Bristone Smoke, Bushwackers and Redz Hurricanes will be there too, with Joy Division having just secured a place of their own in the golden 18. San Diego is probably having the busiest Pro Division ever so try to be there!

Russian Legion is playing as nexus so that nexus will qualify to be in the top 17 for the pro division next year.

Hey Si, no more weird than Dynasty filling in for Entourage, or Tigers filling the majority of their side in Vegas with Arsenal's second team, or Joy Division having half of Ironmen a few years back and so on

Si, I am sitting in 17th place at the moment, I need just one thing to go wrong in San Diego and I could be on the wrong side of qualification.
San Diego has got more pro teams lined up than there has ever been before in the history of Paintball, some of the those pro teasm have got no intention of qualifying but could also make it thru to the Sunday club and in so doing, bump some teams who are trying to qualify, out.
It's a frikkin nightmare for some teams now.
There is way too much at stake for me to risk letting all the hard work and money that's been put into the team be decided by a piece of bad luck or maverick teams entered just the for the hell of it.

thats crap..russian legion going to play for nexus. It is different despite what Robbo says because they are totally seperate teams unlike Entourage which is Dynasty 2 with a different name.

Yeah pretty bullshit. What about all those teams who deserve to be in the top 16. They have made it there by theselves meaning they can compete in the Pro bracket. Nexus cant make it there by themselves so why would you think they can compete at that level next year. Not like Russian legion are going to be playing with them all next year.

Deadeye
21-10-2004, 06:55 AM
Nexus if they make it are gonna get spanked!!! Just like they have all year in NPPL at least their will be some humour in the division.

JJJ
21-10-2004, 07:05 AM
Its a pro league so i guess they are paying their $s.

Surprises me not becuase they are different teams but that they have different marker and other sponsors.

will the russian-nexus be shooting e/blades??
