Anyone got any suggestions for what kneepads I should buy?

Ive tried Redz Kneepads already, I was going to get some JT bodyguard ones but read some reviews on them which has changed my mind, so dont know what to get now. Skins dont seem to be very popular with people who own them, seem to slip down alot.

yeah I have JT skinz and they are no good for me but I like the Redz
I think it is a matter of try before you buy as leg length and shape seem to be the decider
of course you could always go back to the old external full length coz they work
but you should never forsake style for speed so guess not ;)

get some dye ones. They dont fall down and have lots of padding so you can throw yourself around without feeling a thing.

What Skip said...although last round I was the lucky bastard who got the teacup on the left tape every game, and being 6'2", I gave the kneepads a damn good thrashing. Pity they rubbed my skin raw something shocking, but other than that, they're an excellent paintballing purchase.

I played the same spot but just had the knee pads that are built into the JT Pro Pants which were fine.

The Redz knee pads are good and if they are still around, the old JT Bodyguard knee pads.

Hmmm maybe I just got a set of Redz that was too big for me, might get a kids size pair and see how I go:p

I just use a Yzo & A leggo..........They are cheap & You can just gaffa tape them to your knees......

The bonus effect from using these types of pad is they whine like a bitch when on a rocky feild & its piss funny when you rip the tape off at the end of the day :evil

I went and got myself a pair of Fox Pivot knee pads from Star Yamaha. They're hard plastic, and sit under your pants, and cover your knee and top half of your shin. obviously by the name, the knee piece is hinged and stays over your knee while you run and slide. They're designed for motoX (duh) and I've been bounced off them that many times I've lost count, so being hard plastic don't mean squat.
Plus they cost me half what a pair of dyes, jt's or reds would have.
My 2c.

JT Skinz suck! I have exactly the same problem. Unless you have HUGE legs dont even consider them.

The JT pads I got from Action made out of the rihno hide ( hard plastic) have been great. The knees have that clip so they bend easy to run. Have no idea what there name was, see Ian from Action.

Yeah but who aims for your knees?
You'd be better off taping pillows to your head!

Just get a set of Redz pads. If they fit comfortably on my knees they'll work a treat on yours.

LOL
ok I could not resist this...

mate have you played much tourney ball?
I dont even know what position Deadeye plays but I would guess he plays the type of ball that requires aggressive moves as do lots of front to mid players

its not a matter of spending time on your knees, its a matter of needing pads to protect them from getting smashed when you slide into a bunker at a full sprint.
;)

although others on this forum would like you to believe he does spend too much time on his knees:D

Gave the DYE knee pads a good thrashing today and the are awsome. They didnt slip once and I done plenty of sliding on the shitty gravel at Strath.

yes everyone who was at action on Sunday knows i only play up the back...I bought some JT skins and they are great...very comfy and would last a whole game without sliding down..which is more than I can say for any other pads Ive had. Im going to stich them to my slide shorts to create a whole lower body protection rig.

Do players actually require pads, considering majority of tourny play is on turfed sup air  .
I can see the benifit of safety/protection on bush fields.
But do players really need the added weight & restricted movement when running on turfed Sup Air

yeah for sure..even after sliding on grass all day my knees are grazed and bleeding and the pads absorb some of the shock when u hit the ground so hopefully ill still be walking and playing at 50. Elbow pads are even more important though:cry:

Sliding/ Crawling, I employ players to do that for me

Shin/knee/elbow + slider undies
WHY DON'T YOU BOYS CONFESS, "ITS ALL ABOUT THE BOUNCE FACTORS" :hammer:
(Check the new "JT" pants out, they've got built-in barricades in each leg/shin  ) .

OK.
I hat skateboarding, and I seriously do not support it in any way, and that includes buying any of their shitty overpriced clothes. But, I will give it to them for having good knee pads. Just go for some of them. They don't necesserily have to be too expensive, as long as they are comfortable, and they do the job, why pay $100+ for paintball brand pads, sorry all you JT, REDZ and DYE supporters (of which I am one) no direct insults intended, but I think they are a waste of money. Just buy some good skating pads.
thats my 2 cents. :respekt: :armed:
